3490 — Map thermostat. activation: line disconnection — программируемый термостат, активация обрыв провода

2D5A — Vanos intake control fault, camshaft stuck — VANOS, впуск: Ошибка регулировки, заедает распределительный вал

Авто после ДТП Мини купер С 2011год, мотор Р56Н

После востановления, завелась с пол оборота, но глохнет

Диагностика показала 2 ошибки

2DA0 впускной распредвал: угловое смещение (относительно) коленвала вне значения допуска

2C58 решулирование давления турбины, разъединение, наростание давления блокировано

Я так понимаю что что-то с цепью, либо она перескочила либо что-то с ваносом

Помогите, если кто-то знает что с моим купером

Have a Mini with this error 2DA0 inlet camshaft: angular offset to crankshaft out of tolerance

So i check the crank and camsshaft signal, but how can i check if the timing is OK.
Crankshaft signal has no reference mark

Hi, ideally the traces need to be labelled so we know exactly which trace belongs to which part of the engine, i.e. cam, crank. The crank trace looks like a speed reference only and does not provide TDC reference. There is an ignition firing point present which is normally around TDC when firing. The differences between cam and crank triggering appear to be approximately 130 degrees different. To find out exactly what the specifications should be, either;

Look in the waveform library and see if anyone has uploaded a waveform,
Check manufacturer data (if available),
Align the engine cam and crank positions to check, or
wait a while to see if anyone can post a waveform for you.

ktl2019,

There are several cam/crank WF’s in the waveform library.

It is difficult to tell if any exactly match as you do not quote either an engine code or a manufacturing date. Both of which are essential to know if the data is correct or not and is frankly a prerequisite of any request for help.

However as a very basic rule the engine has to know a where the crankshaft is in it’s rotational cycle and it cannot know that if there is not a reference mark. If that WF is correct I do not see how the PCM is not flagging a CKP signal code!

As a general rule of thumb the mini uses a 60 segment CKP signal with effectively 2 missing teeth so 58 signal transitions between the gaps. If you are sure of your measurements you need to be getting access to the CKP target ring and see what has happened to your gap.

Have searched in the waveform library but don`t found exact the same engine

A Crankshaft
B Camshaft (Inlet)
C Camshaft (outlet)
D Ignition fist cyl.

But i have defined it in the channel notice but in german

Long Start After Check Engine Light Comes On

This vehicle’s timing chain was replaced before with these same codes, but the engine was misfiring then. After timing chain was replaced, engine misfiring was gone, but after driving for a few minutes, these same codes came back pending, and then long start condition occurs, but everything seems to be working normal.

Have you verified the pump for for the power brakes they some times get stiff and stop the vvt from advancing when commanded.

The code definitions would be a big help. But I seem to recall these having to do with the variable timing control. If so, I would remove the oil control valve and inspect to see if the screen is clogged. You could also activate it in the car before removing it or on the work bench.

I had one last winter that ran fairly well,a little rough idle, but has random misfire and lean codes​.​Ended up the brake booster had water that froze inside.I saved the old one for my wall of shame​.​lol

Agree w checking the vacuum pump for oil internally- they can hydra lock. But if it is running good and still setting codes, it may be a computer issue. What scan tool are you using? Some scan tools will clear the codes but they will not be cleared from the ram. A hard reboot may not work either. I have had luck w Auto Land iscan2 to clear and do a reset/relearn procedure.

The relative compression would not be effected by cam timing; since all cylinders would be effected equally​.​ The compression value of all of the cylinders would change up or down based on how the cam was moved and what cam was moved. Relative compression is a fast method to check for irregularities with the engine mechanical condition and base ignition timing. I like your thought…

My thought was we are concerned about timing correct? If we perform a RC with a ignition sync off #1 coil could we see if our firing Event is happening advanced or retarted? I’m not ruling out the step to see what our cam and crank correlation. what Testing would you perform to see what our problem is?
