  Tried to rebuild the counters 

  1. lodctr bitsperf.dll
  2. lodctr R
  3. lodctr /e:bitsperf.dll

  After performing the above still getting the issue.

  Microsoft Provided steps are confusing.
  Can any one provide me the detailed steps to resolve the issue ?

• Hi Experts,

                I often getting the below error on my windows server R2 64 bit:-

  The Open Procedure for service «BITS» in DLL «C:WindowsSystem32bitsperf.dll» failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the error code.
  Event ID= 1008

  I tried whatever the solutions I found over the various forums but none of them fixed it. I don’t understand the issue because it comes often and whenever it comes it make my server stop responding and MY IIS website gets down.

  Could you please share some help how I can fix this issue.
