Need to make sure that «BITS» Service to be in started state.

Question

Hi Experts,
I often getting the below error on my windows server R2 64 bit:-
The Open Procedure for service «BITS» in DLL «C:WindowsSystem32bitsperf.dll» failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the error code.
Event ID= 1008I tried whatever the solutions I found over the various forums but none of them fixed it. I don’t understand the issue because it comes often and whenever it comes it make my server stop responding and MY IIS website gets down.
Could you please share some help how I can fix this issue.
best Regards
Pawan

C:WINDOWSsystem32>lodctr /R Error: Unable to rebuild performance counter setting from system backup store, error code is 2
C:WINDOWSsystem32>cd .. C:Windows>cd SysWOW64 C:WindowsSysWOW64>lodctr /R Info: Successfully rebuilt performance counter setting from system backup store C:WindowsSysWOW64>

Some servers make notice of regular Perflib Event ID 1008 Error
SOLUTION :
Run these commands
C:Windowssystem32lodctr.exe /R C:WindowsSysWOW64lodctr.exe /R C:WindowsSystem32wbemwinmgmt.exe /RESYNCPERF C:WindowsSysWOW64wbemwinmgmt.exe /RESYNCPERF
After these commands you might see the Warning Event ID 2003
Run this command :
And reboot the server to make sure all errors are gone

C:Windowssystem32lodctr.exe /R
C:WindowsSysWOW64lodctr.exe /R
Error: Unable to rebuild performance counter setting from system backup store, error code is 2
