Фанук ошибка ps0041

 инструмент  фреза  диаметром 5 ровно 

думаете не совпадает  диаметры инструмента в программе и в офф сете станка потому и ошибка вылазит?

    I am trying to use TNR compensation while machine on a fanuc controlled lathe, but keep receiving an error that states: PS0041 interference G41/G42…
    What am I doing wrong?

    Is it the distance error from engaging the G42 to the point of the first move inadequate?

    Without seeing your part, I think the problem may be the Z7.0 move after the last arc. I would try adding a line to give room for TNR comp. Also, the first G2 doesn’t look like it’s right.

PS0041 Interference in G41/G42!


I am using generic Fanuc turning post and whenever I try chamfers and/or fillets for my parts my machine always gives me an error saying interference in G41/G42. I am sure I am a newbie at this but I wanted to learn and see why this is exactly not allowing me to put chamfers on my parts. If post it without keeping «In control» it runs beautifully with all the chamfers in places.  Any help is appreciated.

HI @saurabh.salat ,

This could be due to following reasons,

  • Your tool corner radius more than the minimum radius
  • In the controller Tooloffset, the Imaginary tool Different than the CAM
  • Less distance error from engaging the G42 to the point of the first move

1). I am doing a chamfer which is on outer body so the minimum tool radius should not matter

2). I checked my controller and the data there seems to be fine meaning it is the same as in Fusion.

3). I am unsure what this is, can you please elaborate the minimum distance error?

Try with Lead in lead out distance. Keep it more than the Corner radius.

It is greater than Nose Radius, my lead in and lead out are set at 2mm while my nose radius is 0.8mm.

@KrupalVala, I checked again and there is only one operation which gives me this error. I tried giving tangential extension, I removed the chamfer and I also increased lead in and lead out distances but still it gave me that error.

PS0041 Overcutting will occur in tool nose radius compensation. Modify the program.

I am not a macro guy but I think it is puking line N190 its only dropping down .003 before it starts the next chamfer. Sometimes comp will aggravate the hell out of me. I may be wrong but my money is on line N190. Remove it and see if it runs.

Hello Eric,
Brent’s suggestion in Post #2 is correct when there is a 45deg move, as is the case in you example, following Block N190. The radial move from the previous diameter to X[#1+.02] is only 0.0015″. With the 45deg angle move that follows, the smallest this move can be is 0.00914 when using a 0.0156 tool nose radius. In fact this will probably still raise an interference error, as Facuc controls generally need clearance of the Least Programmable Increment in TNR comp calcuations. Accordingly, 0.0092 would probably be the minimum move in the case of your program.

If the Block following N190 was parallel to the Z axis, then the control will accept the N190 move as there will be no Interference. The Interference is caused by the control needing to position the TNR tangent to the surface described by N190 (perpendicular to the Z axis) and the angled surface described by the N200 block. The position of the TNR to achieve this tangency will result in interference with the X1.002 diameter.

It would seem that you have a constant diameter of X1.002 included in your profile description. If you wanted to make the program more bullet proof, you could carry out a calculation shortly after the Macro Variables are set to determine if the N190 Block move is less than 0.0092 (radial value). If yes, the N190 Block could be skipped. In this case, there would be further calculations required to find the start of the angled surface, based on its specified end point (not difficult).
