  • Final Cut Pro export errors
In the original media and the FCP edit everything looks good, but when I export the file, strange errors show up in the video at certain times. They are only a few frames each, sometimes just «torn» or pixelated footage or other times it looks as if another clip is getting put in or transitioned too despite there being no such transition in the edit.
I’ve tried different export settings, but the flaws will show up at the same time code in the exports despite not showing in the software before exporting. Sometimes if I re-export it, they go away. However, most often they will persist.

If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

I think the same question came up just today. The problem seemed to be the drive format the file was being saved to.

What does that mean? The drive format. What does one do about that?

May 31, 2018 5:36 AM in response to kennyholl

What is the drive that’s being exported to and how is it formatted? If it’s not a format that can be used for this, the drive would need to be reformatted using Disk Utility.

Well, looking through another post and I did find the right answer and it’s similar to what you’re saying but a little different. I was trying to save it to a hard drive that I had used for several other FCPX projects, so I knew it should be formatted correctly. What I failed to realize however was that my 4tb drive only had 11gb left on it and I was trying to save a 40gb file. Duh!! So, in this case, my error message (41562) simply meant that I did not have room on my drive for it. I wish it could have just told me that instead of looking all this time for answers.

The error simply means that the file can not be written to the drive. It doesn’t indicate why. It does not mean there isn’t enough space on the drive. In most cases the error message is caused because the drive is not correctly formatted. Doesn’t matter, you figured it out.

Final Cut Pro X,»error 41562″ when I try to export.

Disable background rendering in FCPX preferences, delete all render files, manually render timeline with SHIFT+CTRL+R, don’t touch keyboard, observe if it finishes without error. If so then export using this preset as a test: File>Share>Master File>Settings, Format: Computer, Video Codec: H.264 Faster Encode, Resolution: 1920 x 1080.

If either of those fail, state the error.

On current versions of FCPX it will often state the frame number in the error. E.g, «The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame x». In that case you can change the timeline to frames in FCPX preferences, go to that frame in the timeline and examine the clip.

What version of MacOS, FCPX and what Mac are you running? Also what source codec is that?

Exporting problem error 41562 please help

Hey everyone. I am trying to export a project and when I do I get an error message saying that my Stabilization is still rendering, but it doesn’t show up in background tasks. When I try to export anyways it gets halfway and then the export fails and says error #41562.

I have tried copying the timeline into a new project, exporting to external and internal hard drive. I also just exported this project yesterday with no problem whatsoever.

32 GB 6-core i7 2gb graphics card… should be good on that front.

Client is waiting I am freaking out a little it’s a long project.
