Почему не работает forticlient
Все началось два дня назад, и я до сих пор не могу найти возможную причину этой проблемы.

Ну, после еще одного дня разочаровывающих попыток и попыток я думаю, что нашел виновника.
У меня тоже OpenVPN установленный на тот же рабочий компьютер. Этот инструмент делает то же самое, что и FortiClient и, конечно, он должен был быть первым подозреваемым в моих поисках. Однако я всегда держал этот сервис отключен и начал его только тогда, когда это необходимо, поэтому я полностью отбросил его как причину проблемы.
ну, видимо, этого недостаточно. Я начали Autoruns чтобы обнаружить различные части программного обеспечения, работающего на моем компьютере, и обнаружил, что OpenVPN имеет не только работает служба клиента (называется CAPIWS.EXE и был остановлен, как ожидалось), но и на стороне сервера (?)OPENVPNSRV.EXE и другие исполняемые файлы меньшего размера в качестве сервисов.
наконец AUTORUNS показывает мне также, что есть два драйвера, принадлежащие OpenVPN с именем TAP0901.SYS и TAPOAS.SYS.
с помощью автозапуска я отключил все эти программы и, наконец, строку с сообщением об ошибке ошибка поиска интерфейса для local_gwy исчез, и мое приложение снова начало работать.
мораль истории: лучше не держать два программного обеспечения VPN установлены одновременно.

Почему не работает forticlient

Ну, после еще одного дня разочаровывающих попыток и попыток я думаю, что нашел виновника.
У меня тоже OpenVPN установленный на тот же рабочий компьютер. Этот инструмент делает то же самое, что и FortiClient и, конечно, он должен был быть первым подозреваемым в моих поисках. Однако я всегда держал этот сервис отключен и начал его только тогда, когда это необходимо, поэтому я полностью отбросил его как причину проблемы.
ну, видимо, этого недостаточно. Я начали Autoruns чтобы обнаружить различные части программного обеспечения, работающего на моем компьютере, и обнаружил, что OpenVPN имеет не только работает служба клиента (называется CAPIWS.EXE и был остановлен, как ожидалось), но и на стороне сервера (?)OPENVPNSRV.EXE и другие исполняемые файлы меньшего размера в качестве сервисов.
наконец AUTORUNS показывает мне также, что есть два драйвера, принадлежащие OpenVPN с именем TAP0901.SYS и TAPOAS.SYS.

I had the same issue with Fortinets SSLVPN-Client 4.0.2332 and our FortiGate with FOS6.2.1 since I have tried different Windows 10 «Onboard» SSL-VPN-Tools even from Fortinet itself. They did not behave as expected and therefore have been removed. Since then I ran into the same issue like you. I have tried to «repair» the SSLVPN-Client via the «Program and Features» menu of Windows10 (1903) and it worked instantly again — even without a reboot AND without Admincredentials! like
