Google Earth Pro stopped working today. Have about 50 computers
that cannot access. The attached errors. Reinstalling did not fix, neither did
adding exceptions to my firewall or to my AV. Tried the repair tools built into
GE Pro but that failed to fix the issue as well. Please help. Thanks in advance.
Maybe Google is just broken today.

IIRC doesn’t Google Earth Pro need a Google acct to login? Maybe the creds to the account used to login have been changed? Google Earth Pro is working fine on this end.

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately you can’t select the option to sign on, when you do you just get the same error.

Sorry for the late replies… got slammed. I can access it from my office/off domain without problems, it is just them and one other person I know having an issue. Google is showing a different slightly different error now. I’m leaning toward the firewall right now.

Hello, we have lot of users with this error, i made a bat to delete the registry key of Google earth at HKCUSOFTWAREGOOGLE
When you delete all the GE registry, Google Earth works again.

Google earth pro error c00a0194
We fixed this issue by Opening Google Earth Pro, going to tools, help, Launch Repair Tool, then closing Google earth Pro.
On the Repair tool, Click on «Switch between OpenGL and DirectX. Using OpenGL fixed the issue for us.

запускаешь Интернет Эксплорер, идешь в меню Tools (Сервис) -> Internet Options (Свойства обозревателя) -> Connections (Подключение) -> LAN Settings (я хз, как в русской) -> proxy
если ты пользуешься для просмотра интернет-страниц другим броузером, то, вероятно, что в ИЕ не прописана прокси или наоборот прописана, а не должна быть
гугл земля же берет эту информацию из свойств интернет эксплорера

Google Earth Pro
One for the experts.
In short I am setting up another computer upgrading from Mint 18 Cinnamon to Mint 19.3 Cinnamon.
All has gone well until I got to installing Google Earth Pro and it doesn’t load completely.
Here is a screenshot showing what is happening.
The menus load and a small corner in the top left, and another in bottom right, but the rest is transparent showing the desktop icons underneath.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled but no luck. I’ve rebooted the computer after installation but no change.
Given that all the other programs installed run how they should, I guess it is a “Google Earth Pro” problem but what?
Any suggestions appreciated.

It’s a semi common problem.
It seems some versions of GE won’t run on certain hardware…I guess.
I have a slightly older version (7.1.8.xxxx) of GE Pro on my mint 19 working without problems

Notes;
1) Remember to remove your current version first.
2) Blacklist google-earth-pro-stable in Update Manager. (you don’t want to upgrade to a non working version again)

Thanks for your input rick but unfortunately it hasn’t solved the problem so far, but it may be me screwing something up.
So far I have used Synaptic Packet Manager to Completely remove ver. 7.3.3.7786-r0.
I then followed your instructions and installed ver. 7.1.8.3036-r0
I was advised there was a later version which I declined and went ahead with the 7.1.8 version which completed OK and showed up in Synaptic Packet Manager as being installed along with advice there was a later version
I then thought it was time to try it but I got much the same as originally reported except the whole computer locked up and then crashed and rebooted.
So I thought I’d remove the early version and reinstall it, so once again I used Synaptic and it completed fine. However, when I went to reinstall I was advised the same version was already installed and would I like to reinstall it.
I accepted but when I tried it again I was back to square one.
I’m wondering if Synaptic isn’t completely removing the existing installation and that is causing the problem?

and for extra good measure you could get rid of the config’s in your home as well (although I don’t think this is necessary)
rm ~/.googleearth
I swear it is working here,

It seems from the output of the first command, that GE is completely removed.
The second command return indicate that I forgot the «-r» option…you can’t remove a folder with any content without it. Should have been; rm -r ~/.googleearth
I do not know why the older version is not working for you.

I had exactly the same issue with Google Earth from Mint 18.1 to Mint 19.1 , not sure but it was fixed when I installed it from the LM repositories instead of by the google website
No problem with v7.3.7699 on LM 19.3 kernel 5.4

Well this just gets sillier.
Having had a sleep, shower, and breakfast I thought I’d check my mail and here was notifications from a number of people which I’ll deal with now.
(10:30am Sunday down here)
@rick, I corrected that terminal instruction to include the -r option, the screen flashed and the Terminal went back to how it goes when awaiting the next instruction.
I then thought I’d try to install 7.1.8.3036 -r0 again and get this message.
Quite what that is all about completely eludes me.
The other thing is that according to numerous posts on the Web, Google are working on killing off the old programs in order to give them complete control of your computer whereby updates will be mandatory with no way of turning them off.
Sounds like Microsoft Win10 doesn’t it?

I’ve never seen that error before, from myself or others here…it «could» be as simple as a lost connection…stated at the end of details.
I say that because I just now installed that same old GE version on a Mint 20 (5.4 kernel) virtual machine, again without errors ?
As far as google taking «complete control of your computer» , or my computer, I won’t be worrying about that. FWIW I have one machine with win 10 on it, and it gets NO automatic updates.
I’m researching your error, but don’t see anything right away that’s [SOLVED]

Well this is a doozey.
After 7 months I wanted to use Google Earth again and nothing, absolutely nothing, has changed since my initial post in this thread.
It still won’t work, even after complete Uninstallation and Reinstallation and all the present problems are exactly the same as they were initially.
The joke is that I Googled the problem hoping the problem may have been solved in the interim, given all the updates including kernels, and at the top of the list was this thread.
There are pages of problems, but nothing I can find useful in fixing things.
So I guess the bottom line is «has anyone found a fix in the last 7 months»?

and just now met up with this, which seems to be what you have.
and when I click on OK, it vanishes

I never got the Graphic Card message, but the rest looks like exactly the same problem.
The Graphic Card never occurred to me because all other programs work fine.
Anyway, I’ll follow this lead and get back when I’ve something to report.

Hola, desde hace unos días (15 +/-) no puedo acceder al servidor desde la Pc, me dice un cartel al intentar abrir el programa: “Google Earth ha detectado un error al intentar la autenticación.” Puedo abrirlo y ver y trabajar en “mis sitios” solo si lo hago sin conexión a la red, puedo conectarme después (una vez ya abierto el Google Earth) y no pasa nada, pero tampoco me actualiza las imágenes, solo tengo las de caché. Alguna sugerencia para resolver la actualización de imágenes o la conexión al servidor, sin actualizar la versión de Google Earth o sin cambiar mi sistema operativo. |

Hola, buenas noches. Perdón antes de nada por el retraso en la respuesta. Tengo una conexión normal, por cablemodem, y nunca tuve problemas con las descargas. De hecho tenía este error con Google Earth y descargaba al mismo tiempo cualquier otra cosa, bien de modo directo, bien por P2P. Y así como vino se fue. Volví a intentarlo después de unos días y… voilá… se completó la descarga y la instalación. No sé, sería cualquier cosa… Bueno, muchas gracias por la atención y un saludo. |

Si lo desinstalas tendrás que limpiar el registro tambien porque eso no se borra y guarda el último arranque. A veces me ha pasado a mi y es alguna capa dañada en mis lugares. Lo suelo solucionar arrancando el programa sin conexión a internet y desactivando las capas mis lugares. Luego arrancandolo normalmente. Tal vez a a ti te funcione tambien. |

Despues de instalar el google earth 5 al ejecutarlo se queda la pantalla en negro y da el mensaje de error : No es posible establecer la conexion con los servidores de google earth para activar tu cuenta. Despues de hacer el analisis al que me remite el resultado es este. kh.google.com UNSUCCESSFUL Pero no se como solucionarlo. ya lo tengo como excepcion en el firewall, y aun asi nada- Al guien puede ayudarme?? …en varios foros encontre el mismo problema sin una solucion real. Yo no vengo con una solucion real, vengo con una solucion que A MI ME FUNCIONO y ya no he tenido fallas, con caches de hasta 1.5 Gb o mas. 1.-Cuando abrimos google por primera vez, o bien purgamos el cache para empezar desde cero, y vamos por varias imagenes hasta que exploramos el area de nuestro interes, cerramos Google y en la carpeta mencionada nuestro archivo tendrá un tamaño de 90 mb por ejemplo. Entonces si queremos acceder a google sin conexion, puede ser que lea dicho archivo o que nos salga el mensaje de error A QUE SE DEBE? segun mis calculos los archivos grandes de 90 o mas megas tienen mayor posibilidad de no ser leidos sin conexion, durante semanas almacene 80 mb de cache para poder leerlos en linea, hasta que encontre la solucion: 2.-Exploremos el area que deseemos en google, una vez completada, cerramos google, y sin desconectarnos volvemos a abrirlo y repasamos un area al azar de las almacenadas, despues podemos cerrar de nuevo google earth. 3.-Desconectemos el modem y abramos nuevamente google para comprobar que esta solucion realmente funciona ¿PORQUE? NO LO SE ya que solo soy un… |

Es que es raro… debe haber algo bloqueando conexiones, no parece de codec. No le funciona Explorer, ni Google Earth. Pero si ha deshabilitado antivirus y firewall, no debería haber nada bloqueando el acceso. Por eso no me quedan caminos para continuar. Se puede intentar trazar conexiones con el comando «traceroute» o un programa que lo haga. Y ver donde se quedan los paquetes. |

No es problema grafico, es problema de conexion… Busca anti-virus, proxies… o algo que bloquee conexiones salientes. ¿Hablamos de la versión gratuita?… ¿no habrás instalado alguna de pago? |

Bienvenido al foro. La subida de avatares no esta habilitada en nuestro foro. No es un error es asi. Par ver los edificios en 3D solo tienes que activar la capa correspondiente. ir al menu de capas y activar esa capa… cuando navegues y dependiendo de la velocidad de tu conexión, que haya edificios en 3D en la zona, podrás verlos o no. …offline en GE Leyendo mi segunda respuesta veo que esta un poco escueta… lo redefino Cuado el GE no puede acceder al servidor al abrir el programa da un mensaje de alarma, pero a la vez te dice que va a trabajar a falta de servidor con el cache. Mientras hayas navegado por algun sitio y hayas cargado imagenes de ese sitio hasta su 100% quedan en cache y el GE las tendra nitidas y claras si la ves offline. Hay varias discusiones sobre esto por que hay casos donde esto tiene errores… creo haber descubierto que si uno hace backup del cache para tener lugares guardados y poder accederlos offline solo los puedes ver bien si y solo si abres el GE sin conexion desde antes del inicio del programa .. si lo abres con conexion hay veces que sustituye las imagenes nitidas l del cache que tenias en backup como si iniciaras el GE por primera vez. Prueben hacer esto… navegen por algun sitio en especial y carguen las imagenes al maximo de resolucion. Luego cierren el GE y corten la conexion, guarden los arhivos de cache, abran el GE y naveguen con un cache nuevo donde… |

Bueno, primero escuchame… No hay diferencias en base de datos entre ninguna de las tres versiones… las diferencias estan en el interfaz, modulos de video, conexión a GPS… pero no en precisión, ni en altura, ni en ver mas imagenes. El error es lo suficientemente importante como para no ser decisivo medir las alturas a la base del tronco o a la copa del arbol, pues no hablamos de 15 metros… Los radares no tienen tampoco esa precisión, ni traspasan solidos. Creo que usaron para detectar aguas otros aspectos, como evaporación, calentamiento relativo (las zonas con ligeramene mas humedad no se comportan igual ante los cambios de temperatura)… y siempre con un estudio terrestre posterior (mas bien ondas de sonido y sus ecos). |

Invitado, te digo lo mismo que a otror usuario anteriormente: — Si tienes firewall en tu PC, comprueba que no esta cortando la conexión. Prueba los dos primeros pasos y luego nos comentas. Gracias por la respuesta, da el error siguiente: «No es posible encontrar el dispositivo Magellan. Reinicia, comprueba las conexiones e inténtalo de nuevo». He comprobado que el GPS esté conectado en serie a Com1, he cambiado la velocidad de transmisión, desactivado NMEA, enfin, varias combinaciones de configuración posibles y sin éxito. Otras aplicaciones lo detectan sin problemas (p.ej. GPS TrackMaker). Es una pena porque adquirí precisamente la licencia de la versión plus por esta funcionalidad. Un cordial saludo y gracias |

Te recomiendo que sigas las siguientes comprobaciones: — SI tienes firewall en tu PC, comprueba que no esta cortando la conexión. -si esto no funciona, desinstala y vuelve a instalar de nuevo, comprobando que no te da mensaje de error de DirectX. |
