You can also try typing restoredefaultpath into the terminal, that should remove any conflicting files.

error using ==> open at 164
unable to load model file ‘….mdl’ due to the presence of characters that are not supported in the current character encoding setting ‘windows-1251’. either:
1)run »bdclose all; set_param(0, ‘characterencoding’, enc)» where enc is one of windows-1252, iso-8859-1, then load the model, or
2)remove the unsupported characters. the first such character occurs on line 910, byte offset 21.

bdclose all
set_param(0, ‘CharacterEncoding’, ‘windows-1252’)

Hi,
This type of error can be resolved in many ways but it will depend upon what values of x and y you have available as per your code.
Try using the following commands:
size(x)
size(y)
in order to get the size of the x and y.
As per me, these might be cases for your issue:
A) There can be a situation one image has , say for example a*b size while other image’s size is b*a , so in this particular case transpose function would help.
B) If you have some random sizes available try purposely adding or repeating certain coordinates so that you get the matched size.
So, in short, size command will help you give insight as to what next steps you need to follow.
I hope this helps you!
Unable to open matlab fig file
I am unable to open a matlab ‘.fig’ type file. I am getting the following error «Error using open (line 146). Unable to read MAT-file Fig5.fig is not a binary MAT-file. Try LOAD -ASCII to read as text.» I opened the fig file in notepad and saw that it was created using MATLAB 2013 b (first I tried opening with 2020a). Then I downloaded 2013b and tried opening on it. However, then also I got same error with a minor change (now line number shown was 163 with the same message as earlier). I tried to do loading with ascii but got the error that number of columns in line x should be same as in previous lines error.
I am experiencing an issue when automating MATLAB and when using the C MATLAB Engine. For simplicity, I will demonstrate the issue using COM:
After successfully instantiating MATLAB in my Visual Basic code, I am unable to execute/invoke any commands via the COM object, or via the MATLAB command line. For example, I receive the following error when I type the command VER at the MATLAB command prompt:
??? Error: <a href=«error:c:program filesmatlab704toolboxcompilermcrmatlabgeneralver.m,1,25»>File: ver.m Line: 1 Column: 25</a>
The input character is not valid in MATLAB statements or expressions.
When I type the following command at the MATLAB command prompt:
a = 6; imshow(a)
I receive the following error message:
??? Error: <a href=«error:c:program filesmatlab704toolboxcompilermcrmatlabgraph3dgray.m,1,25»>File: gray.m Line: 1 Column: 25</a>
The input character is not valid in MATLAB statements or expressions.
Error in ==> <a href=»error:c:program filesmatlab704toolboximagesimuitoolsprivateimageDisplayParseInputs.m,210,1«>imuitoolsprivateimageDisplayParseInputs at 210</a>
map = gray(256);
Error in ==> <a href=»error:c:program filesmatlab704toolboximagesimuitoolsimshow.m,146,1«>imshow at 146</a>
[cdata, cdatamapping, clim, map, xdata, ydata, …
I can execute MATLAB commands from a session started manually ie by double clicking on the shortcut from the start menu. I have MATLAB versions 6.5 (R13), 6.5.1(R13SP1), and 7.0.4 (R14SP2) installed on my machine.
