Hello,
I have just installed MATLAB 2018a on my hp laptop. However when i try to run MATLAB I get the licensing error: -8,523. How can I resolve this issue.

Hello, Just copy crack folder bin file into MATLAB Bin folder.

Copy a few files and paste to the location where the software is installed (Figure 2)

Answer
This is believe to be caused by a known issue which has been fixed in FNO v12.11.0.1. Below is copied from v12.11.0.1 Release Notes.

FNO-11637 The hardcoded serverHostID (?FLEXID=6-a6300155?) that FlexNet Operations
uses to generate ASRs caused problems in FlexNet Publisher.

License checkout failed.
License Manager Error -8
Make sure the HostID of the license file matches this machine, and that the HostID on the SERVER
line matches the HostID of the license file.

Please contact the Mathworks for licensing issues. If you’re paying then for a license they will help you. If have a campus license, contact IT help desk at your campus.
