Error 2002-1002 in a few games after creating an emunand.

Iam was getting the error 2002-1002 in a couple games after creating an emunand in atmosphere.

So i realized that i only got this error in titles that i had already played before the emunand , so i restore the saves and 80 % of those titles worked again. After that i went to tinfoil and did the konami code to install unsigned NCA and most of the games back to normal.

Now i only have issues with mario kart deluxe and animal crossing , i already tried to re install them allowing unsigned nca’s and restore the saves but it didnt work

Any tip to solve this error ?

EDIT: seems that some games like mario kart 8 and animal crossing have their game saves in a hidden partition ( or something like this )

So the only way to acess them is using the JKSV. So deleting the saves from nand in nintendo options and restoring them all the games are working , thank you everyone.

Error code 2002-1002 is displayed while starting a game or while downloading software on Nintendo Switch.

Additional Information:

If a microSD card is inserted on the console, the save location will default to the microSD card when downloading or redownloading software.

What to Do:

  • Ensure your console has the latest system update.

    • If the console is already up to date, restart it by holding down the POWER Button for three seconds, then select «Power Options» > «Restart.»

  • Check for corrupt data

  • Delete the problematic software and redownload it.

  • If the issue persists, try the following:

    • Reseat the microSD card by removing and reinserting the microSD card

    • Format the microSD card.

      Important:

      • Once formatted, the information on the microSD card cannot be recovered. If screenshots or videos are stored on the microSD card, be sure to first back up the information on a computer.

      • If downloadable software was saved to the microSD card, it can be redownloaded using the same Nintendo Account where it was purchased

    • Use a different microSD card.

    • Remove the microSD card and download the software directly to the system memory.

Situation Not Resolved:

If the error persists with multiple supported microSD cards, or when downloading directly to the system memory, the Nintendo Switch console will need to be repaired.

If you would like further assistance with the Nintendo Switch console, please contact Nintendo Customer Service.

Hi,
I buyed Mario Kart as a physical card. When I start the game I get the Error-Code: 2002-1002.
I already tried everything I found about this error. Reset micro-sd, another micro-sd, delete all, reset switch.

I can play all of my games but not mario kart.

I tried to play it on sysnand and for troubleshooting also on sysMMC and emuMMC with the original game and with nsp from the internet just to make sure my card isn’t corrupt.

Thanks in advance.

If you’re booting Atmosphere via kips+secmon in hekate:
Open bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini, and then remove the line
«kip1patch=nogc» from your Atmosphere boot option.

If you’re booting Atmosphere with Fusee:
Open atmosphere/BCT.ini, and then under «[stratosphere]»
add the line «nogc = 0» to force disable nogc.

Hi,

Did you solve your problem ? I have exactly the same. Last firmware 10.0.4 on my emuMMC, with last hekate and atmopshere update. When i try to play with carts, like mario kart or just dance, i have the error 2002-1002.

I have modified hekate_ipl.ini and bct.ini but it doesn’t change my problem. I try to remove mario kart files and install them again with update but always the same problem.

All my carts work well on my OFW.

Hi,

Same problem here. If I give up to use the cartridge and try do download the game with tinfoil, it shows the same 2002-1002 error message. It happens with all my original games. When I create the emunand, I already have those games installed. Maibe that’s the problem. Any clue?

Thank you very much.

Take out game card, delete the app data. Then insert and download update for the game. If it still doesnt work, might be your save data so try deleting that

Hello, i found solution. I have always up to date Sigpatches, Atmo etc. so all solutions from this and other sites dont work. Reinstalling game, installing from another sites still dont help.

I used game card to play and later i installed NSP with this game and game stopped working no matter i use game card or no.

My solution is: go to System Settings > Data Management > Delete Save Data. Now you need to choose game dont work and clean all save data for this software.

I know answer will refresh old post but it was for many ppl who actually use switch and can get this problem and can help in future.
