Ошибка 031 522 xerox

Hello,

I’ve got the same problem with my 6505.  The printer works for printing via network.  Trying to scan to a folder on my PC gives me the dreaded 031-522 error message.

The stupid part is I once got it to work and it worked for years.  Now I’ve recently reinstalled my Windows PC (Windows 10 Pro) and I cannot get this to work anymore.  It’s driving me crazy. 

My computer’s name is ROADRUNNER

I’ve created a folder on my E: drive, called Scans (E:Scans)

I’ve shared this folder to Everybody, and also (as per your manual on the first page of this tread) added the user «Bart», giving Bart full access to everything as well.

I can see the shared folder my network in Windows Explorer. (ROADRUNNERScans)

In CentreWare Internet Services, I added the «Scans» directory to the «Network Scan» section of the Address Book.

Basically now it says:

Name of Shared Directory : Scans

Subdirectory Path : <left blank because I don’t use any subdirectories in E:Scans>

Via the shell command «netstat -an», I can see port 445 is «LISTENING»

The PC uses Bitdefender as anti-Virus, but the the standerd Windows Firewall as a Firewall.

What am I doing wrong ?

I also have a similar problem with my Xerox 6505dn. I have just installed the printer driver on my new PC that is running under Windows-10. Printing is ok, but network scan to folder I can not get to work. I get the error code 032-522.

I have folowed the instructions in the manual but I used port number 139. But I now understand from above that it might be 445 in my case.

The password in CenterWare still confuse me. Now there are four dots that I not have put in the field. From where does the system get this password? Below I have copied my present settings in the CentreWare. I have not been able yet to test to change from 139 to 445 on the port number, if that can be my problem?

I had little difficult to fully understand the meaning of the first answer on this post and the screen dumps included as I am not english speaking. Shall the password (four dots) be put in someware when I do the sharing, where?

Принтер не находит указанный сервер эл. почты.
Проверьте адрес сервера и данные для входа.

Недопуст. адрес в поле ‘От’
016-768

Обратный адрес эл. почты недопустимый или неверный.
Адрес должен содержать @ и .com.

Сервер не найден
013-576

Если сканирование на FTP выполняется на компьютере
Macintosh, значит не включен общий доступ к FTP. Неверный
адрес сервера.
Проверьте адрес сервера.

    I have the folder «Scans» shared and only for the one person using this printer. She has Ownership permissions. Everyone group removed (this is HR and don’t need Everyone looking at HR scans).

    I have the printer setup to scan to the Scans folder on the computer. No problems with network connection on either printer or computer.

    What other information do you need to resolve this?
