Ошибка 3d000 postgresql

I am trying to create a postGres database c# programatically, previously i had created DB manually and teh conection string to open it and do operations on it and it was working nicely.

Now i have to first check if that DBB already exist if not then create it first and then do other operations liek reading writting to it.

My code to do so is :

database "openpg" does not exist Severity: FATAL Code: 3D000  

Whereas the database name i have kept «testDb», it’s not «openpg»

Previously i created a DB name «NewDB» and created connection string like this :

And it was workign fine, So why have error now and how to cure it ?

Intermittent issue. not replicable always

The issue

Getting database does not exist exception intermittently. I have checked the connectionstring and it works fine

   ERROR FATAL: 3D000:database «postgres» does not exist
   

   This is the message I’m getting. I’ve accidently deleted something important from «postgres». It doesn’t seem to reload. Help please.

   More Info: When troubleshooting your postgres video, when I Start Server it says «System error 5 has occured»

   Don’t delete anything in Postgres.

   It appears there might be an issue with PostgreSQL and reinstalling it should help resolve this.

   Make sure windows is fully updated until ‘No New Important Updates are Found’ (this may require multiple restarts and multiple ‘check for updates’), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser). This is important because it will install critical updates that affect PostgreSQL and maybe related to the issues you are seeing.

   Please note that reinstalling PostgreSQL will mean losing all your old data. If you have access to HM2 and your database was not corrupt then please follow these instructions for backing up your database — http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques…onfigs+work%3F

   If you cannot access the database in HM2 then you can backup your database using this method: http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques…nced+Method%29 but if your database was corrupt then the best solution is to reimport all your hands from C:/HM2archive folder or if your pokersite supports it you can request all your hands and summaries and reimport them as restoring a corrupt database will just restore all the problems you had.

   Once you have backed up your previous database(s) then follow the instructions below to uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL.

   1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.

   2) Delete the PostgreSQL8.xdata folder that is left behind.

   3) Delete the sub-folder(s) in c:usersusernameappdataroamingHoldemManagerDa tabase (XP — c:documents and settingsusernameapplication dataHoldemManagerDatabase).

   4) Restart your PC

   5) Use our combo installer to reinstall PostgreSQL. Make sure you un-check Holdem Manager during installation. http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa…er_2_Setup.exe

   Start HM2 again and create a New Database.

   I deleted Postgres but when I use the combo installer it doesn’t allow the option of installing Postgres, it says it’s already installed. Then, of course, it can’t connect to it when I try to start HM2. (because it doen’t exist obv.)

   Did you delete the Postgres user?

   Did you install Postgres from their website?

   I searched my computer and deleted all the postgres files found. I don’t know what the «postgres user » is. Yes, I installed from their website, but deleted that as well. Still no luck.

   4) run the command — start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator

   net user postgres /delete

   After you click ‘Enter’ for the code above also do that same for this code:

   sc delete postgresql-8.4

   and click ‘Enter’ again.

   5) Restart your PC

   6) Install PostgreSQL 9.3 from http://www.enterprisedb.com/products…wnload#windows

   Step 4 is beyond me, and 2 other people I’ve asked. To «run the command» do I left=click the windows icon, select run, because that didn’t like «start». If I right click that icon, choose start then programs then accessories isn’t an option.
