Yes, I know this has been discussed before. I’ve found some things that don’t work and that I don’t understand, so I’m asking for some clarification here. Keep in mind also I not using Vista, I’m using windows XP. I’m getting the below error when trying to uninstall one of my programs through the option under the program in the start menu

Keep in mind, I’m trying to UNINSTALL not install, I want this program gone from my system. I’ve seen some other posts where they are trying to install, that’s not what I’m doing here just to be clear. Under details it lists this:

Summary

When installing Esko software you get the following error:

An error (-5009: 0x8002802b) has occured while running the setup.
Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications.  
OR
An error (-5004 : 0x80029c4a) has occurred while running the setup.
Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications.

Symptoms

This is a general Windows problem.

The Install Shield didn’t close properly during a previous installation of any type of software.

Solution

  1. Navigate to C:Program FilesCommon Files (or maybe Program Files x86Common Files)
  2. Rename the Install Shield directory (for example to «oldInstallShield»).
  3. Run the installer again.

Workaround

Alternatively, if the above doesn’t work, you can install the program using Windows «Safe Mode». 

You only need to install in Safe Mode; you can run the program in normal mode once the program is successfully installed.

Тема не о чём! Просто мнение в пустоту!

Почитал, и мило хитро улыбался, и чувствовал как шевелятся злые колючки.

Последнее действие самое верное.

Но не верте если вам будут заливать что они таки умные и вычитали это в тех умных инструкциях, даже читая эти мануалы к хорошему приползаешь уже на коленках, у кактуса также было.

Именно по этой причине я предлагал не валить все темы по разным ОС в одной ветке «ноутбуки», а завести подтемы, ну да ладно проехали.

На каждом углу читаю у каждого юзера, что нарушение установки ни, ни, ведёт к ужастикам?

Чего тогда у меня при нарушениях нет ужастиков? 

И брэнд vaio не ругаю а только хвалю, ругать надо только себя родимого, и не искать лёгких путей, даже в тех длиннющих мануалах нет всех нюансов, и писали его наверняка профи, они всеми силами старались изложить максимально доходчиво на бумаге, ну это если иметь ввиду что мануал реально распечатать.

Но идеально донести все нюансы подводного айсберга даже теоретически сложно.

Поэтому взялись за гуш, так и тяните его, домысливайте то что не смогли изложить на бумаге, не уверенны не беритесь, и не обвиняйте брэнд, сообщество и т.д.

На неделе воевал с MSI, столько начитался и хорошего и плохого, а читать стал ввиду того что Все! Наработанные годами лёгкие способы поднятия ОС, не работали! Хотя стояла фирменная старушка ОС7.

Чтобы не пробегать многочасовые марафоны 7>8>8.1 учитесь осуществлять промежуточные шаги сторонним инструментом.
