Keept getting this error popup and then when I try to «teleport» (not sure what the correct term is yet) it never completes between the two «worlds».

I have the same problem, but at launch time. Can’t run the game. «Verify game files» reports no problems, but still get this alert every time.

Its likely same problem. Verify integrity isn’t guaranteed to work. Uninstall and reinstall will only work with files that have been removed/overwritten by that process.

That means something that is left over is still corrupted assuming that’s what it is for you. There is potential for other acute things. Also potential for it to be the game/engine code but that is far more unlikely as more people would likely see the problem.

The config files and savegame files will likely need to be moved and try again. I don’t think Windows registry needs any entries removed (though that’s what I would do to have a complete fresh start) but if you don’t know what you’re doing in the registry you could mess up things.

If you are on a Mac, please try these steps to resolve the crash/serialization error issue:

1. Open Finder, press “command+shift+g”
2. Type in:

/Library/application support/, press enter
3. Open “Epic/Obduction/Saved”
4. Delete “ByteCodeCache.ushadercode” & “DrawCache.ushadercache”
5. Restart your computer

I have managed to launch Stellar Overload once and play a bit, I lowered the quality settings and restarted the game as per instructions and on starting all I get is an error box:

Serialization Error: Action Needed
Corrupt data found, please verify your installation.

I verify via the steam interface and all checks out.
I have deleted and reinstalled the game, to no avail.

Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 on a Macbook Air 1.4 GHz

You can try to go to the game’s installation folder and launch the ResetConfig.sh script. It will reset all your settings to the defaults, but might solve your problem.

you successfully launch the game one time, and play 15 minutes.
But now (after deleting all files, reinstalling the game), you cannot launch the game anymore?

Yes but after playing for a bit I reduced the quality settings which suggested a restart, that cause the error. I reinstalled to try to correct the error with no joy

Can you try to deactivate the DLC? Some players had an issue preventing them to play the game, and deactivating the DLC seems to solve it. We are investigating to understand why the DLC could cause such an issue, but in the meantime you can try to deactivate it.

remove all your mod and this work for me, that make me a little upset ..but it’s the game ..

Sorry for the late reply, I have no mods. Everything was Unsubbed from previously and the game was reinstalled fresh with all files cleaned from the NVMe.

I should point out though after a few attempts at verifying files I eventually got a different saying Mods couldn’t be validated and then the game loaded up normally. Strange since there are no Subscribed Mods and no files on the PC for the game. Oh well.
