PlanetSide2 Game Error G99 Fix Tutorial
When you start getting this error, the first thing you should do is check with your ISP whether there are any problems at their end. Quite often this error is displayed when there are problems with your Internet connection. If your ISP says that there are no problems, try rebooting your router and your computer. You’ll be surprised, but this is the most common fix for this particular error. But if it doesn’t help, try the following steps.
Step 1: Configure Your Anti-Virus and Firewall
Another common reason for game error G99 is a problem with your security settings. Your anti-virus or your firewall may be blocking the game from running properly. To fix this issue, you’ll need to add the following files to your security software’s ignore list:
planetside2.exe
launchpad.exe
awesomiumprocess.exe
ApplicationUpdaterService.exe.
Typically, these files will be located in Sony Online Entertainment subfolders on your computer, usually on the C: drive.
Step 2: Clear PlanetSide 2 Cache
Another thing you can do to fix game error G99 in PlanetSide 2 is to clean out the game’s cache. Here is how:
- Go to your PlanetSide 2 directory and find the launchpad.libs folder
- In that folder, find the launchpad.cache folder and delete it completely
- Try to access the game again. The problem should be fixed.
Step 3: Fix Corrupted PlanetSide 2 Entries
Another reason why your game is not running right could be corruption of the game’s files in the Windows registry. When the PlanetSide 2 registry entries are corrupted, the game won’t run properly and nothing will work until you repair the corrupted entries. G99 Error after loading the latest patch today.

I like how the number changes from 37 to 99 and everyone ****’s bricks.
This error message happens anytime the servers are down.And the servers will be down for 15 more minutes.
May be more, who really knows, but that’s what time they said they’d be back up. -

Really, are you that dumb? There have been numerous server announcements in game and if you didnt see those then there is an announcement on the forum and on the game launcher that server will be down. There is only so much the devs can do to counteract ones stupidity. G99 is whilst they are updating the game.

I think its because the servers are down to get the double xp weekend up and running. They said the servers owuld shut down in 15 minutes, and that is when i started to launch the game and it was then that it started to show me the error (after the 15 minutes).

How to Fix: Grab a snack, watch some shows…come back in 30min. If problem still persists check forum for update, if no update is given, watch more shows or play solitaire for a bit. Its not a problem with the update, but the fact that the servers are STILL being updated. It’ll take a little bit of time. Down times are a FACT of MMO and online play. Get used to it, and learn to find a backup for the minimal wait time.

- Start the Planetside 2 game launcher
- Click the Advanced tools/settings menu (blue wrench icon above the loading bar)
- Click on «Validate Game Assets» in the left panel
- Click the «Validate» button

G15/G37 Error Codes[]
Here are ports that the game uses so that you can update your routers/port forwards to successfully play the game.
Launchpad, Patching, and our Web site/web stats are on the standard ports. Voicechat is a SIP based application, that can change and be dynamic. The standard ports and initial SIP request will be made on:

Anyone else seeing this error tonight?
