You may get an error — «Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported» immediately after you launch the Spectrum installer.
Environment
Spectrum install on Windows
Cause
The installer cannot run in this UI mode. To specify the interface mode, use the -i command-line option followed by the UI mode identifier. The valid UI modes identifiers are GUI, Console, and Silent.
Resolution
This is a Microsoft Windows compatibility issue. To resolve the problem, right click the Spectrum executable that you are using and select «Properties». Navigate to the Compatibility Tab and select the «Run this program in compatibility mode for:» option and set it to another Windows version:
Click Apply and Ok and now you should be able to launch the Spectrum install without any issues.

There seems to be a bug for software installers created with InstallAnywhere. Wherein the downloaded installer unpacked when the installer initializes it throws an error and installation never occurs. Sounds familiar? Just sharing this information since I got stuck googling for about an hour or two about it without finding a fix applicable to me.
Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported Unable to load and to prepare the installer in GUI mode.
1. From google results = that there is an invalid character like @#$%^& etc in your Windows account name, remove the character from the User Accounts in the Control Panel and try running the installer again.
2. And for my fix. The above scenario is not applicable to me, I checked the path of installer in the PC and see if there is any invalid characters in the folders, turns out the folder it was saved under is labeled !Miscellaneous with exclamation point, so I simply renamed and issue is fixed.

OS: Windows 10, I have the program installed on many other Win10 machines, no problem, including my own.
Troubleshooting thus far:
1. I have switched to run in compatability mode with win 7
2. Run as admin
3. attempted to run the installer from command line, no luck, might have done that wrong? Basically put the path to .exe installer with the switches to attempt /passive and etc. no errors, but also nothing else happened.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

К сожалению, диски были выпущены довольно давно и с тех пор не обновлялись. Их установка была рассчитана на устаревшие в данное время версии операционные системы, и при инсталляции в Windows 10 возникают проблемы, которые ставят некоторых пользователей в затруднительное положение.
В этой инструкции мы рассмотрим то, как быстро и легко установить диски Face2Face на ПК. Просто выполняйте последовательно нижеследующие указания и все будет хорошо!

В большинстве случаев, при установке диска Face2Face встречается две проблемы – одна из них решается включением режима совместимости, а вторая – переводом часов компьютера.
Решение проблемы Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported
Вставьте диск Face2Face в дисковод вашего компьютера. В том случае, когда вы используете образ диска – смонтируйте его на виртуальный привод. Если после этого автоматическая установка приложения не запустилась, откройте содержимое диска и запустите файл CambridgeApplicationInstaller.exe.
Скорее всего, вскорости после того, как инсталляция файла начнется, появится окно с ошибкой Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported.
Для обхода этой ошибки вам нужно зайти в «Свойства» файла CambridgeApplicationInstaller.exe, открыть вкладку «Совместимость» и там поставить две галочки возле пунктов «Запускать программу в режиме совместимости с» (в выпадающем списке выбрать Windows 7) и «Запускать эту программу в режиме от администратора», после чего сохранить данные и запустите установщик еще раз.
Теперь установка приложения продвинется намного дальше. В ее процессе будет дана возможность изменить путь установки файлов программы. Делать это не нужно, поскольку дальнейшие действия предполагают, что файлы будут размещены в папке по умолчанию.
Также вам будет предложено принять условия лицензионного соглашения. Без этого установка невозможна, поэтому выберите пункт I accept the terms of the License Agreement и нажмите кнопку Install.
Решение проблемы с Adobe AIR (поврежеден файл программы установки)
Копирование файлов приложения и установка ее компонентов займет некоторое время, и прервется сообщением об ошибке «К сожалению, произошла ошибка. Невозможно установить приложение, так как поврежден файл программы установки. Попытайтесь получить новый файл программы».
Не пугайтесь. Просто закройте окно с ошибкой (кнопка «Закрыть»), а также окно инсталлятора (кнопка Done).
Решение данной проблемы не потребует от вас больших усилий. Просто переведите время вашего компьютера на 01.01.2015. После этого повторите все пункты установки заново (запустите инсталлятор, согласитесь с условиями лицензирования и т. д.).
На этот раз инсталляция должна успешно завершиться. Откройте программу и убедитесь, что все работает нормально.

Resolution
This is a Microsoft Windows compatibility issue. To resolve the problem, right click the Spectrum executable that you are using and select «Properties». Navigate to the Compatibility Tab and select the «Run this program in compatibility mode for:» option and set it to another Windows version:
Click Apply and Ok and now you should be able to launch the Spectrum install without any issues.

I have windows 10 and I wanted to install a digibook flash in my laptop but couldn’t. It says

My installer has the «silent» in and looks like this «win-silent-install.exe»

RTMT Plugin Installation Error on Windows Machine
Are you getting this error “Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported. The installer cannot run in this UI mode. To specify the interface mode, use the -i command-line option, followed by the UI mode identifier. The value UI mode identifiers are GUI, Console and Silent” when trying to install RTMT (Real Time Monitoring Tool) Plugin on Windows Machine? You may receive the above error on Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 2010 or Windows 2012.
There are two ways to resolve the issue :
Solution A :
- Copy the the CcmServRtmtPlugin.exe to C: Drive on your Windows Machine
- Launch Command Prompt on your Windows Machine
- Type “cd” without quotes and hit enter
- Type “CcmServRtmtPlugin.exe -i gui” without quotes and hit enter.
The installation should start and continue without prompting the above error.
Solution B –
- Right Click CcmServRtmtPlugin.exe > Properties
- Go to Compatibility tab
- Compatibility Mode > Check mark “Run this program in compatibility mode for:”
- Select Windows 8 or Windows 7 from Drop Down Menu
- Click on Apply
- Click on OK
- Launch CcmServRtmtPlugin.exe
The installation should start and continue without prompting the above error.

скачал, при установке появляется окошко «installer UI mode error», и надпись в нем:
installer user interface Mode not supported
the installer cannot run in this mode. Please review the installers documentation to detemine how to run this installer.
нажимаешь ок и установка прекращается, комп перезагрузил.
