The problem with that solution was that i don’t even have an EQU8 Folder, and from what i remember TABG never started with the EQU8 popup bug that’s happening now, i remember it starting up with a different anticheat.

Sounds very odd! What happens when you try to start the game now — is it still trying to launch with a different anti-cheat or is there any other kind of error message?
It starts by opneing the EQU8 anti-cheat but then fails and gives me the messages «the bootstrap process has failed» and beneath that it says «update unable to complete. Please retry» and then an EQU8 error pops up and says «The update requires administrative privileges».

Is the anti-cheat trying to update and it says «the bootstrap process has failed»?
It seems there was a problem with the last anti-cheat update, it should be solved soon. For now, this temporary fix should work: Remove the «bin» folder at this location

I cant get into the game and I looked in the files and I still couldn’t figure it out, the anti-cheat update doesn’t work, it just stops the update for some reason
Did you find the bin folder? Try opening the File Explorer in Windows and paste the following in the path field at the top: %ProgramData%EQU8Totally Accurate Battlegrounds
Then remove the «bin» folder.
I do not have the file, C:ProgramDataEQU8Totally Accurate Battlegrounds. I search in my file manager and it does not find this. I uninstalled and reinstalled it when this became an issue. Also tried to make perrmission for all Tabg game files and equ8 anti-cheat, but was unable to find them in the files to give permission too. It appears i am missing something.

Please try these steps as they may resolve your problem :
— Update Windows.
— Update security products.
— Reboot your computer.
I use Windows 7, there are no antivirus programs, restarting the computer did not help.
make an exception for EQU8, a dev will probably send you a link on how to do it, you can try turning your antivirus off, (the message you’re getting is probably from a 3rd party antivirus like McAfee or Norton). Best thing to do will be to make an exception for it.
You can also verify your game files to fix files that may be corrupted: Right-click on TABG in your Steam Library > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files
Also, Cheat Engine often causes issues with the game — even if it’s not used within TABG, Cheat Engine often runs in the background which triggers the anti-cheat. If you have Cheat Engine installed, try to uninstall it.

TL;DR: I’ve tried every suggested fix to get the game to launch for my little brother and the only thing that’s worked has been deleting the client.equ8.dll from his plugins folder. After doing so the game launches and runs perfectly. However, I’m assuming this is related to anti-cheat and he’s not going to play under worry that he will be falsely banned for doing so. I’d like to get some help from the devs to sort this issue out since this could also lead to a potential fix for everyone else still stuck with this issue.
Ever since anti-cheat has been implemented, my brother’s game does not launch. He’s tried uninstalling/reinstalling, verifying game integrity, forcing DX9, adding all the suggested exceptions to his anti-virus, closing every single program on his computer except steam, manually launching the anti-cheat exe, changing his resolution, and all sorts of other things in an attempt to get the game to actually launch.
Recently I read a thread where people were having similar issues and deleting the InControlNative.dll helped their game launch. While it did not fix his issue, I decided to look at the output_log.txt and crash errors on his end to see what could be causing the issue (I’ll paste the output below). I decided to try removing the plugins one at a time to see what could be preventing the game from launching, and the one that’s worked has been deleting the Client.Equ8.dll.
After deleting that the game launches up just fine and he’s able to play. This is something that seems to be related to the anti-cheat (I’m assuming this based on the similarity name) which means this isn’t a real «fix» but definitely a potential source of the issue. I also noticed at the end of the output log it mentions that the «load balancing client» is having issues, which could also be another potential source of the issue. I’d really appreciate it if I could get a response from a developer so we could try and sort this issue out for him and others who are still having this issue.

When I launch the game I receive following error. I excluded game folder from antivirus protection.

If people need help in 2022, I got you. Uninstall the game. Go to your C: DRIVE (or wherever your system32 is) and search for EQU8. Delete ALL remaining EQU8 data on your C: Drive and the previous install directory. There will be a few files that cannot be deleted don’t worry, provide any permission to delete files. Reinstall and verify integrity. Hope this helps someone, worked well for me after 2hrs of no answers.

EQU8 Initialisation and Anti-Cheat Error has been causing problems for Splitgate enthusiasts. Here’s what you can do about it.
The rise in popularity of Splitgate has coincided with rising reports of errors, and the Splitgate EQU8 initialisation and anti-cheat error is one such example. The Beta for this game has proved so popular that the developers have had enormous challenges building capacity on the servers, and making them more stable, in an effort to reduce player wait-times and frustration.
But another day brings another challenge, and this time, we’ll be taking a look at the impressively long-named EQU8 initialisation and anti-cheat error. While it doesn’t roll off the tongue, it does prevent players from launching Splitgate. Let’s take a look at what you can do about it.
How to fix Splitgate EQU8 Initialisation and Anti-Cheat Error
Anti-cheat issues aren’t unique to Splitgate. Anti-cheat software, is as the name suggests, intended to ensure an equal playing field, or at the very least, that players don’t acquire unfair advantages through nefarious means. But sometimes errors arise even when you haven’t done anything naughty. Here are some suggested fixes, should you be hit with this error.
- The first thing to try is to verify the integrity of your game files. To do this, Steam advise the following:
- Restart your computer and launch Steam
- From a game’s library page, select Manage > Properties.
- Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files… button.
- Steam will verify the game’s files — this process may take several minutes.
- Make sure Windows is fully up to date
- Grant administrator privileges to the EQU8 software.
- You can then try running the game through files, rather than via Steam. Alternatively, if you usually launch the game via your desktop or taskbar, try running it through Steam instead.
- Make sure your anti-virus isn’t blocking the anti-cheat software.
- If all else fails, consider uninstalling then reinstalling Splitgate, in case a corrupted file is causing the problem.

What causes this issue?
The specific causes of this problem are, as yet, unclear. A lot of issues that have been effecting Splitgate in recent times are due to problems with the servers struggling to support the volume of players. So it’s possible that this error is linked to server issues. But the developers have been working extremely hard to improve stability and build capacity on that front.
Anti-cheat errors more generally, tend to be caused by the following:
- Missing system files
- Corrupted files
- Anti-virus software
- Other programs on your computer interfering with the anti-cheat software.
Hopefully, this is just a short-term problem that will resolve itself as the developers continue to improve the game. But in the meantime, these are your best options.

Crashing and connection issues on console (TABS)

Check the system requirements

Verify the installation of your game files

Update your graphic drivers
It’s important to keep your graphics drivers up-to-date since outdated drivers can affect performance or lead to other issues.
For most graphics cards you can download and install the latest drivers from NVIDIA or AMD. On Mac the latest drivers are installed along with macOS updates.

Antivirus software issues
Antivirus software can sometimes incorrectly identify the game or your game launcher as a threat and then quarantine and remove game files, or prevent the game launcher from downloading and saving game data.
To stop this from happening, add exceptions for the game and your game launcher in the antivirus software.
You can also try to temporarily disable your antivirus software (not needed if you only use Windows Defender) to troubleshoot and make sure it’s not preventing the game from running properly.
Administrator privileges (Windows only)
Running software as an administrator gives it extra permissions and can fix several odd problems.
Run the game as an administrator:

Locate the game installation folder

Right-click on the game executable (the application) and select Properties

Issues with Citrix Workspace
Citrix Workspace is a digital workspace software platform and this program causes issues with Unity and can cause the game to crash. To solve this issue, please uninstall Citrix completely.
Install the latest Windows Update

Open Windows Settings (you can do so by clicking the Start button in the taskbar and then the cogwheel icon)

Go to Update & Security and select the Windows Update tab to the left

Click Check for updates
Install the latest macOS update
To download macOS software updates, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Software Update.

Controllers, joysticks and other devices
Some devices can cause various issues with the game. If you have any controllers or other peripherals (joystick, racing wheel, foot pedals etc.) plugged in or connected wirelessly while playing, please try to unplug/disconnect them and start the game with only mouse & keyboard.
Integrated and dedicated GPUs
Many laptops have more than one graphics card: an integrated and a dedicated one. Make sure your laptop is running with the dedicated GPU while playing the game. If your laptop has a power saving mode, it will most likely switch to the integrated GPU to preserve battery power.

RAM
If you have low memory (RAM), it’s important that you are not running other programs in the background while playing. For example, Chrome is a heavy memory user.
Some software will automatically run at startup in Windows by default, which can use up a lot of RAM. This can be disabled in most software by going to their settings and disabling “Automatically start when logging into Windows” or something similar. Other software can be disabled in Windows itself; please read more here.
In macOS, you can find similar settings under System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items.
Performance issues
If you are experiencing low FPS or stutters, you can follow Steam’s troubleshooting guides for game performance issues, available here and here (these steps are helpful even if you are using a different game launcher than Steam). A good first step is to make sure your graphics drivers are updated. Also check that your computer is using the dedicated GPU, more info here.
For performance issues in TABS, it may help to lower some of the graphics options in the game. Start the game and open Settings, in the Video tab you can for example turn off anti-aliasing, as well as lowering shadow and physics quality. Please note that due to the physics simulations in the game, you may experience FPS drops in large battles with many units.
My game is stuck in the taskbar
For this issue, you can try the following:

When you have started the game and it appears to be running in the background, first click on the game in the taskbar, then press ALT+ENTER

Press the Windows key and P at the same time, on the panel that appears to the right, click “PC screen only”

Make sure that your graphics drivers are updated

Install the latest Windows/macOS update

Add an exception for the game with your antivirus
You can also try to temporarily lower the resolution in Windows:

If the EQU8 anti-cheat is having problems updating, if you are getting repeatedly banned for 15 minutes or if you have another issue with the anti-cheat, please try the steps below.

Crashes
Frequent crashes may occur on console if you have a lot of custom content (both units, battles and maps that you’ve created yourself and content subscribed to in the workshop). We are looking into potential solutions for more stability, but in the meantime it may help to remove some of your custom content.
If the game is crashing on startup or if you are unable to unsubscribe to workshop items in-game, you can follow these steps:

Go to https://mod.io/g/tabs and sign in using your Xbox account. Nintendo players should log in using the email that was entered in-game the first time you opened the workshop.

Click on your username in the top-right corner and select My Library
-
Under Subscribed Mods, unsubscribe from everything by clicking the red X
-
Start the game to see if it works better
-
If the crashes persist, reinstall the game. On Xbox, there will be a screen where you can select which components to remove — select to remove everything.

Please note that uninstalling the game will remove units, battles and maps that you’ve created yourself. If you can, upload your content to the in-game workshop first to save it online (you can then re-download everything when you install the game again).

The workshop is also shared across all platforms (except on Nintendo Switch where you can only see content from other Switch players). PC players often upload content that requires community-made mods in order to work. It is highly recommended not to download anything that looks like it might require mods on console (anything that you can’t create in the official unit creator like animal units or vehicles for example), as these will often cause problems such as crashes and will not work on console.
Connection issues on Xbox
To play multiplayer with a friend, both players require an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

What is the date of the next update?
We don’t set exact dates for our updates. Now that TABS is out of Early Access, the updates will be fewer and further between.
The reasons we don’t do estimations are that we as a studio try not to crunch, this means no hard deadlines. A lot of things can change during the course of development that makes us need to change the estimates. The other reason is that we want the updates to be as bug-free as possible if we find a fatal bug we want to wait with the update until it has been solved.

Can I play TABS on Linux?
We have no current plans to add Linux support, but on Steam you can play the game through Proton.
Can you add support for 32-bit operating systems?
Most computers running with 32-bit operating systems don’t meet the minimum system requirements for TABS. Therefore, we do not plan to add support for 32-bit operating systems.
How do I get a refund?

Does the game have support for Remote Play Together on Steam?
Yes! With Remote Play Together, one player owns and runs the game, and then they can invite a friend for local multiplayer.
You can follow these steps to play:

After you’ve started the game, bring up the Steam overlay (shift+tab), right-click on your friend’s username in the friend’s list, and select Remote Play Together.

Once your friend accepts the invite, they will be in-game with you.

Select Multiplayer in the main menu and then Local. One player needs to play with a mouse & keyboard and the other with a controller so that both players are recognized. Press any button on the keyboard to join as Player 1. The other player needs to press any button on their controller so that they join as Player 2.

Is there support for cross-platform play in multiplayer?
It’s not possible for Steam, Epic Games, Xbox and Nintendo players to invite each other to play private matches (you need to be on the same platform to play).
However, Xbox and Microsoft Store players can play private matches together.

When I enter a battle I can only place Clubbers or it says “None selected” at the bottom of the screen
This is the radial interface which is intended for controllers. If you are playing with mouse and keyboard, go to the Main menu > Settings > Gameplay > User Interface Mode > Change it to “traditional”.
I see this error message when starting the game: Application load error 3:0000065432
Antivirus software sometimes wrongly marks TABS as a virus, which can result in this error message. This can usually be solved by adding an exception for the game with your antivirus. Read more here.
Will my custom content remain if I uninstall the game or switch to a different computer?
PC
On PC, your custom content (units, battles, etc.) will remain even if you uninstall the game. Keep in mind that your custom content is not saved in the cloud, only locally. Therefore, if you reinstall the game on a different hard drive, you’ll need to transfer the content manually.
If you reinstall the operating system or switch to a different computer, you will also need to transfer your custom content manually, otherwise it will be lost.

How do I find the bug options?
Once you’ve downloaded the DLC, start the game and go to Settings; there will be a new tab called [DLC] Bugs.

Use 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 to switch between tools. Right-click to use the tools.

How to download factions or single units?
From the main menu, select Workshop and then Browse. From here you can use the icons at the top to look for Battles, Campaigns, Units or Factions. You can use the filters to sort by popularity, rating and so on.
Once you find something you’re interested in, click on it and then click the bell icon to install and subscribe. You can also click the cloud icon to download an editable copy to your Custom Content, which will allow you to edit the item you downloaded.
How to use a faction that you’ve downloaded or created?
To use a faction that you’ve downloaded from the workshop or that you’ve created yourself, go into a battle and click on the plus sign near the bottom. This will open the “More factions” tab where you can add custom factions to the bar.
If you are using the radial interface or are playing on Xbox, go into a battle and hold LB to open the radial wheel, then press Y to edit factions. Select the plus sign to add custom factions to the wheel.
To use custom factions in campaigns, go to Settings > Gameplay > Unlock all units in campaign levels > Make sure it’s turned on.
How to use a unit that you’ve downloaded?
Units must be added to a faction before you can use them in battles. From the main menu, select Custom Content and then the Factions tab at the top. Add the unit to a new or existing faction. Pick a faction, then select the Downloaded tab to add units you’ve subscribed to in the workshop.
How to play campaigns and battles that you’ve subscribed to?
To play a campaign you’ve subscribed to, select Campaign from the main menu and then select the Downloaded tab.
To play a battle you’ve subscribed to, go to Custom Content from the main menu, select the Battles tab at the top and then the Downloaded tab.
How to use a unit that you’ve created?
Units must be added to a faction before you can use them in battles. To use your local units, go to the Factions tab in Custom Content and then add the unit to a new or existing faction.
How to upload your custom content to the in-game workshop?
Method 1:
You can upload your units to the workshop by going into Custom Content and selecting the unit (or battle/campaign/faction) you want to upload, and next to the Edit and Rename buttons, there is an Upload button.
Then you are given a choice of uploading it as a new unit or to update an uploaded one.
Method 2:
Go into the Workshop and select Upload. Select Upload New or Update Existing, and then find the battle, campaign, unit or faction that you want to upload/update.
How to change the image on your uploaded content?
Log into https://tabs.mod.io/ with the mod.io account that is used in the game, from here you will be able to change the image on your custom content.
You can log in using your Steam or Xbox account. If you’re on Nintendo Switch or Epic Games, sign in with the email that you entered in-game the first time you opened the workshop. Epic Games players can also launch the game > select Workshop in the main menu > click on the mod.io logotype in the bottom-right corner and then click View Profile (this should open mod.io in your web browser).
Will my custom content remain if I uninstall the game or switch to a different computer?
PC
On PC, your custom content (units, battles, etc.) will remain even if you uninstall the game. Keep in mind that your custom content is not saved in the cloud, only locally. Therefore, if you reinstall the game on a different hard drive, you’ll need to transfer the content manually (except on Microsoft Store).
If you reinstall the operating system or switch to a different computer, you will also need to transfer your custom content manually, otherwise it will be lost.
Transferring custom content:
You can upload your creations to the in-game workshop to save them online and then download them again later as an editable copy.

What are the controls?
P: Test map
Z: Undo action
Y: Redo action
Use W, A, S, D, Control and Space to move the camera.
Use 1, 2, 3 and 4 to switch between Place, Utility, Sculpt and Mayhem.
Press B to see all props and decorations. From this screen you can also access tools such as triggers and visual effects.
When holding an object, press V to adjust the height of the object.
When holding an object, hold Shift and then press Q or E to resize the object.
How to use triggers, repeaters and sequencers?

Triggers: Trigger visual effects when units walk over them.

Repeater: Use it to repeat visual effects on a predetermined timer.

Sequencer: Use it to trigger a visual effect after a certain amount of time.
Press B and go to the “Tools” tab at the top. Under the Trigger category, select either the trigger, repeater or sequencer.
Before placing the trigger you can press E and Q to rotate. Rotating a repeater or sequencer will change the timer. Hold Shift and then press E or Q to make it bigger or smaller.
Select a trigger from the Props and Decorations menu. Place the trigger where you want it on your map, then press RMB to deselect. Hover over the trigger with the mouse pointer and press R. Click on the trigger first and then click on a visual effect (or a dispenser/spawner) that you’ve placed on the map to connect them.
Once the visual effect is connected to the trigger, the effect will either repeat in intervals (repeater), trigger after a certain amount of time (sequencer) or trigger when units walk over it (trigger).
How to use dispensers and spawners?
Dispensers and spawners need to be connected to a trigger. See above on how to use triggers.
How to create a battle using a custom map?
First create and save your map using the map creator. Then from the main menu, go to Custom Content > Maps > Select a map and then “Play”.
Place the units you want in your battle and then click on the cog wheel icon in the top-left corner to save the battle. From here you can also edit the team line.
How to edit the team line?
The team line can’t be edited in map creator mode, but you can edit it once you create a battle using your map. See above on how to create a battle using a custom map.

Where can I get the game?
TABG is free-to-play on Steam.
Why did you make a battle royale game?!
TABG started out as an April Fools joke, we’ve done one every year since 2016. We’ve previously combined one of our games with another genre or game. The first year we made Supertruck, a mix between the game Superhot and Clustertruck. Then we made TABZ which is a mix between TABS and DAY-Z. We’ve spent an enormous amount of lunch breaks and nights playing battle royale games, this is an homage to a genre we love!
When we released TABG as an April Fools joke in 2018 it wasn’t initially meant to be updated, but when it gained a big following in the first week we decided to update it anyways. We completely overhauled the game later on and released it as Free To Play in 2021.
Why are you no longer updating the game?

Is there going to be a Mac/Linux/console version of the game?
There are no current plans to release the game on macOS, Linux or on consoles.
What are Founders?
Founders are players that paid for the game or got it for free before the free-to-play release on April 1st, 2021. Founders received these rewards when the game went F2P:

No, only players that got the game before the free-to-play release on April 1st, 2021 are eligible to receive the Founder pack.
Getting banned or other issues with the anti-cheat
If the EQU8 anti-cheat is having problems updating, if you are getting repeatedly banned for 15 minutes or if you have another issue with the anti-cheat, please try the steps below.

Add an exception for the game and EQU8 anti-cheat with your antivirus.

Verify game files: Right-click on TABG in your Steam Library > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files.

Cheat Engine often causes issues with the game — even if it’s not used in TABG, Cheat Engine usually runs in the background and triggers the anti-cheat. If you have it on your computer, try uninstalling it.
If the issue persists after that, send an email to support@landfall.se and include a link to your Steam profile (or your Steam ID number).

There are no current plans of making a Linux version of Stick Fight.
Is there a single-player mode or bots in the game?
There is no single-player in Stick Fight and no bots.
Do I need a PS Plus subscription on Playstation?
You can play local co-op without Playstation Plus, but you will need a subscription in order to play online multiplayer.
PC Troubleshooting
I am unable to join a game/I only get a circle with a cross when I join Quick Match.
The issue is most likely due to either your internet connection or your firewall, or the person you’re playing with. Check your connection, disable your firewall and restart your computer and the game before you try to re-enter Quick Match.
You can also try to verify your game files on Steam: Right-click on Stick Fight in your Steam Library > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files.
My stick dude/My friend’s stick dude doesn’t move!
This is also most likely due to the firewall — please try to disable it, restart the game and Steam.
My controller spawns two stick dudes!
Plug in all controllers before starting the game, if you use a wireless one, connect it to your PC before starting the game. This isn’t really a bug with the game, but with Windows assigning all of them as the same controller (controller 1). After connecting them and booting the game, press the A button in sequence (so not all at once) and it should work fine — if not, let us know!
I see this error message in the game: No connection to host could be made, please check firewall

I’m getting Steam not initialized when starting the game
You can try to restart your computer and then run Steam as an administrator by following the steps below.

Totally accurate battleground equ8 error
Is the anti-cheat trying to update and it says «the bootstrap process has failed»?
It seems there was a problem with the last anti-cheat update, it should be solved soon. For now, this temporary fix should work: Remove the «bin» folder at this location

I cant get into the game and I looked in the files and I still couldn’t figure it out, the anti-cheat update doesn’t work, it just stops the update for some reason
Did you find the bin folder? Try opening the File Explorer in Windows and paste the following in the path field at the top: %ProgramData%EQU8Totally Accurate Battlegrounds
Then remove the «bin» folder.
I do not have the file, C:ProgramDataEQU8Totally Accurate Battlegrounds. I search in my file manager and it does not find this. I uninstalled and reinstalled it when this became an issue. Also tried to make perrmission for all Tabg game files and equ8 anti-cheat, but was unable to find them in the files to give permission too. It appears i am missing something.

Sounds very odd! What happens when you try to start the game now — is it still trying to launch with a different anti-cheat or is there any other kind of error message?
It starts by opneing the EQU8 anti-cheat but then fails and gives me the messages «the bootstrap process has failed» and beneath that it says «update unable to complete. Please retry» and then an EQU8 error pops up and says «The update requires administrative privileges».

TL;DR: I’ve tried every suggested fix to get the game to launch for my little brother and the only thing that’s worked has been deleting the client.equ8.dll from his plugins folder. After doing so the game launches and runs perfectly. However, I’m assuming this is related to anti-cheat and he’s not going to play under worry that he will be falsely banned for doing so. I’d like to get some help from the devs to sort this issue out since this could also lead to a potential fix for everyone else still stuck with this issue.
Ever since anti-cheat has been implemented, my brother’s game does not launch. He’s tried uninstalling/reinstalling, verifying game integrity, forcing DX9, adding all the suggested exceptions to his anti-virus, closing every single program on his computer except steam, manually launching the anti-cheat exe, changing his resolution, and all sorts of other things in an attempt to get the game to actually launch.
Recently I read a thread where people were having similar issues and deleting the InControlNative.dll helped their game launch. While it did not fix his issue, I decided to look at the output_log.txt and crash errors on his end to see what could be causing the issue (I’ll paste the output below). I decided to try removing the plugins one at a time to see what could be preventing the game from launching, and the one that’s worked has been deleting the Client.Equ8.dll.
After deleting that the game launches up just fine and he’s able to play. This is something that seems to be related to the anti-cheat (I’m assuming this based on the similarity name) which means this isn’t a real «fix» but definitely a potential source of the issue. I also noticed at the end of the output log it mentions that the «load balancing client» is having issues, which could also be another potential source of the issue. I’d really appreciate it if I could get a response from a developer so we could try and sort this issue out for him and others who are still having this issue.

Please try these steps as they may resolve your problem :
— Update Windows.
— Update security products.
— Reboot your computer.
I use Windows 7, there are no antivirus programs, restarting the computer did not help.
make an exception for EQU8, a dev will probably send you a link on how to do it, you can try turning your antivirus off, (the message you’re getting is probably from a 3rd party antivirus like McAfee or Norton). Best thing to do will be to make an exception for it.
You can also verify your game files to fix files that may be corrupted: Right-click on TABG in your Steam Library > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files
Also, Cheat Engine often causes issues with the game — even if it’s not used within TABG, Cheat Engine often runs in the background which triggers the anti-cheat. If you have Cheat Engine installed, try to uninstall it.

Many of the problems with games launching happen because of improper installation. Check, if there was any error during installation, try deleting the game and run the installer again, but before install don’t forget to disable antivirus – it may often mistakenly delete files during installation process. It is also important to remember that the path to the folder with a game should contain only Latin characters and numbers.
You also have to check whether there is enough space on the HDD for installation. You can also try to run the game as an administrator in compatibility mode with different versions of Windows.

Появляется чёрный экран в Totally Accurate Battlegrounds
Появление чёрного экрана часто связано с конфликтом видеодрайверов и ПО. И реже всего с определёнными файлами Totally Accurate Battlegrounds. Впрочем, существует довольно много других причин, связанных с появлением «чёрного экрана смерти».
Первым делом при появлении проблемы следует обновить видеодрайвер. Многие пренебрегают этим совсем, но мы настоятельно рекомендуем сделать это, потому что для многих современных игр следом выходят и важные обновления, которые помогают запустить ту или иную игру.
Увеличить файл подкачки, если не хватает оперативной памяти для Totally Accurate Battle Simulator
Чтобы компенсировать недостаток оперативной памяти, можно увеличить файл подкачки. Это позволит системе хранить часть необходимых Totally Accurate Battle Simulator данных прямо на жестком диске. Вот что нужно сделать:
- Открыть «Проводник»;
- Правой кнопкой нажать на «Этот компьютер» (или «Мой компьютер»);
- В контекстном меню кликнуть на «Свойства»;

Например, если в системном блоке установлена «плашка» на 4 Гб, то есть 4192 Мб, в поля выше нужно вписать число 2048. Можно сделать файл подкачки больше, но никакого прироста это не даст.
Изменить параметры электропитания
По умолчанию в компьютере установлен сбалансированный режим электропитания, который, а в некоторых ноутбуках, в целях увеличения времени работы, и вовсе установлена экономия энергии.
Это не дает компьютеру раскрыть свой потенциал в TABS полностью, поэтому первым делом нужно открыть панель управления, которую можно найти с помощью поиска. После нужно сделать следующее:
- Выбрать режим просмотра «Мелкие значки»;
- Кликнуть на «Электропитание»;
- На экране найти опцию «Настройка схемы электропитания», кликнуть на нее;
- Кликнуть на «Изменить дополнительные параметры питания»;
- В открывшемся окне найти выпадающий список;
- В списке выбрать «Высокая производительность»;
- Нажать кнопку «Применить», затем кликнуть «ОК».
Total Tank Simulator тормозит. Низкий FPS. Просадки частоты кадров. Решение
- Разрешение теней — определяет, насколько детальной будет тень, отбрасываемая объектом. Если в игре динамические тени, то загружает ядро видеокарты, а если используется заранее созданный рендер, то «ест» видеопамять.
- Мягкие тени — сглаживание неровностей на самих тенях, обычно эта опция дается вместе с динамическими тенями. Вне зависимости от типа теней нагружает видеокарту в реальном времени.
В Total Tank Simulator черный экран, белый экран, цветной экран. Решение
Проблемы с экранами разных цветов можно условно разделить на 2 категории.
Во-первых, они часто связаны с использованием сразу двух видеокарт. Например, если ваша материнская плата имеет встроенную видеокарту, но играете вы на дискретной, то Total Tank Simulator может в первый раз запускаться на встроенной, при этом самой игры вы не увидите, ведь монитор подключен к дискретной видеокарте.
Во-вторых, цветные экраны бывают при проблемах с выводом изображения на экран. Это может происходить по разным причинам. Например, Total Tank Simulator не может наладить работу через устаревший драйвер или не поддерживает видеокарту. Также черный/белый экран может выводиться при работе на разрешениях, которые не поддерживаются игрой.
Отключить ненужные программы
Каждая программа, которая запущена в ОС, занимает определенный процент оперативной памяти и загружает процессор. Убедиться в этом легко, достаточно просто открыть диспетчер задач с помощью сочетания клавиш Ctrl+Alt+Del:
Total Tank Simulator не скачивается. Долгое скачивание. Решение
Скорость лично вашего интернет-канала не является единственно определяющей скорость загрузки. Если раздающий сервер работает на скорости, скажем, 5 Мб в секунду, то ваши 100 Мб делу не помогут.
Если Total Tank Simulator совсем не скачивается, то это может происходить сразу по куче причин: неправильно настроен роутер, проблемы на стороне провайдера, кот погрыз кабель или, в конце-концов, упавший сервер на стороне сервиса, откуда скачивается игра.
Разогнать процессор
В то время как «разгон» видеокарты вполне осуществим прямо в Windows, для того, чтобы улучшить работу процессора и тем самым увеличить быстродействие TABS, придется лезть в «Биос».
Геймерский «разгон» процессора обычно предполагает увеличение процессорного множителя (Core Ratio). Сделать это можно далеко не на каждом процессоре, а только на том, где этот множитель разблокирован. Обычно такие процессоры помечаются особым образом. Например, компания Intel использует маркировки «K» и «X‘. То есть, например, i7-4790 нельзя разогнать с помощью множителя, а вот i7-4790K — вполне.
Но как узнать точное название модели процессора? Проще всего воспользоваться программой CPU-Z. Запустив ее, нужно открыть вкладку «CPU» и посмотреть на самую первую строчку — «Name». Это и есть название процессора. Кстати, там же можно увидеть из сам множитель. Он в разделе «Clocks», в строке «Multiplier». Если процессор поддерживает «разгон», то этот множитель можно изменить.
Чтобы изменить коэффициент Core Ratio, нужно сначала попасть в оболочку BIOS. Для этого нужно нажать особое сочетание клавиш во время загрузки компьютера (до того, как появится экран Windows).
Сочетание может различаться в зависимости от материнской платы. Часто BIOS можно вызвать с помощью клавиши «F8» или «Del». На экране «Биоса» нужно найти раздел, посвященный процессору. Тут тоже все сложно, так как оболочек у BIOS много. Практически каждый производитель материнский плат использует свою собственную, поэтому без знания английского языка найти нужное место не так-то просто.
Изменять множитель нужно постепенно, повышая его на 2. После каждого изменения следует перезапускать компьютер и тщательно проверять работоспособность и температуру процессора. Если она становится выше 80 градусов во время игры, то нужно немедленно выключить Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, перезагрузить компьютер, зайти в BIOS и снизить значение Core Ratio. Иначе процессор может сгореть.
Отключить эффекты Windows
Если Totally Accurate Battle Simulator работает не в полноэкранном режиме, а в окне, в том числе и без рамки, то повысить FPS можно, если отключить эффекты Windows. Для этого нужно проделать следующие действия:
- Открыть «Проводник»;
- Правой кнопкой нажать на «Этот компьютер» (или «Мой компьютер»);
- В контекстном меню кликнуть на «Свойства»;
- В открывшемся окне слева нажать на «Дополнительные параметры системы»;
- В открывшемся окне перейти на вкладку «Дополнительно»;
- В разделе «Быстродействие» нажать на кнопку «Параметры. »;
- В открывшемся окне перейти на вкладку «Визуальные эффекты»;
- Поставить флажок напротив опции «Обеспечить наилучшее быстродействие».
При необходимости на последнем шаге можно выбрать опцию «Особые эффекты». В таком случае можно самостоятельно выбрать, какие эффекты оставить, а какие — отключить.
Total Tank Simulator лагает. Большая задержка при игре. Решение
Многие путают «тормоза» с «лагами», но эти проблемы имеют совершенно разные причины. Total Tank Simulator тормозит, когда снижается частота кадров, с которой картинка выводится на монитор, и лагает, когда задержка при обращении к серверу или любому другому хосту слишком высокая.
Именно поэтому «лаги» могут быть только в сетевых играх. Причины разные: плохой сетевой код, физическая удаленность от серверов, загруженность сети, неправильно настроенный роутер, низкая скорость интернет-соединения.
Еще больше ухудшить графику в Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (режим «картошки») — выключить сглаживание и т.п.
Если Totally Accurate Battle Simulator запускается, но сильно тормозит, то перед началом всех процедур следует снизить графику до минимума через настройки игры. Если это не помогло, то придется прибегнуть к помощи сторонних программ для настройки видеокарты:
Загрузив программу, запускаем ее. В случае с NVIDIA Inspector нужно запускать файл nvidiaProfileInspector.exe, а не nvidiaInspector.exe. Сверху, в строке «Profiles:» можно выбрать любую игру, которая поддерживается драйверами Nvidia.
Ниже представлены все доступные настройки. Их много, но для того, чтобы ухудшить графику в игре до «картофельной», вполне достаточно всего нескольких, которые находятся в разделе «Antialiasing».
Наибольший прирост производительности дает изменение этих двух параметров:
- Texture filtering — LOD bias;
- Antialiasing — Transparency Supersampling.
Каждая из этих настроек имеет разные значения. Некоторые из них могут делать картинку в Totally Accurate Battle Simulator неудобоваримой, поэтому следует попробовать разные комбинации значений, которые дают более-менее сносное играбельную картинку.
В случае с RadeonMod все аналогично: нужно найти настройки, отвечающие за отображение текстур и снижать их до тех пор, пока FPS в игре не станет достаточно высоким.
Отсутствует DLL-файл или ошибка DLL
Для начала следует объяснить, как вообще возникают ошибки, связанные с DLL-файлами: во время запуска Totally Accurate Battlegrounds обращается к определённым DLL-файлам, и если игре не удаётся их отыскать, тогда она моментально вылетает с ошибкой. Причём ошибки могут быть самыми разными, в зависимости от потерянного файла, но любая из них будет иметь приставку «DLL» .
Для решения проблемы необходимо отыскать и вернуть в папку пропавшую DLL-библиотеку. И проще всего это сделать, используя специально созданную для таких случаев программу DLL-fixer – она отсканирует вашу систему и поможет отыскать недостающую библиотеку. Конечно, так можно решить далеко не любую DLL-ошибку, поэтому ниже мы предлагаем ознакомиться с более конкретными случаями.
Ошибка d3dx9_43.dll, xinput1_2.dll, x3daudio1_7.dll, xrsound.dll и др.
Все ошибки, в названии которых можно увидеть «d3dx» , «xinput» , «dxgi» , «d3dcompiler» и «x3daudio» лечатся одним и тем же способом – воспользуйтесь веб-установщиком исполняемых библиотек DirectX .
Ошибка MSVCR120.dll, VCRUNTIME140.dll, runtime-x32.dll и др.
Ошибки с названием «MSVCR» или «RUNTIME» лечатся установкой библиотек Microsoft Visual C++ (узнать, какая именно библиотека нужна можно в системных требованиях).
Избавляемся от ошибки MSVCR140.dll / msvcr120.dll / MSVCR110.dll и других DLL раз и навсегда
Очень часто стал замечать, что люди плачут об ошибках «запуск программы невозможен, так как на компьютере отсутствует MSVCR120.dll». Это встречается.
В Total Tank Simulator не работает управление. Total Tank Simulator не видит мышь, клавиатуру или геймпад. Решение
Как играть, если невозможно управлять процессом? Проблемы поддержки специфических устройств тут неуместны, ведь речь идет о привычных девайсах — клавиатуре, мыши и контроллере.
Таким образом, ошибки в самой игре практически исключены, почти всегда проблема на стороне пользователя. Решить ее можно по-разному, но, так или иначе, придется обращаться к драйверу. Обычно при подключении нового устройства операционная система сразу же пытается задействовать один из стандартных драйверов, но некоторые модели клавиатур, мышей и геймпадов несовместимы с ними.
Таким образом, нужно узнать точную модель устройства и постараться найти именно ее драйвер. Часто с устройствами от известных геймерских брендов идут собственные комплекты ПО, так как стандартный драйвер Windows банально не может обеспечить правильную работу всех функций того или иного устройства.
Если искать драйверы для всех устройств по отдельности не хочется, то можно воспользоваться программой Driver Updater. Она предназначена для автоматического поиска драйверов, так что нужно будет только дождаться результатов сканирования и загрузить нужные драйвера в интерфейсе программы.
Нередко тормоза в Total Tank Simulator могут быть вызваны вирусами. В таком случае нет разницы, насколько мощная видеокарта стоит в системном блоке. Неприятное недоразумение, а в некоторых случаях даже баг или ошибка (в таких случаях ни один способ ниже не поможет, поскольку проблема связана с серверами). Любопытно, что с подобным сталкиваются многие игроки, причём неважно, в каком лаунчере приходится играть. Мы не просто так отметили, что это «недоразумение», поскольку, как правило, проблема решается простыми нижеописанными способами:
- Убедитесь в том, что вы вместе с друзьями собираетесь играть в одном игровом регионе, в лаунчере установлен одинаковый регион загрузки.
Создателю сервера нужно открыть порты в брандмауэре
Многие проблемы в сетевых играх связаны как раз с тем, что порты закрыты. Нет ни одной живой души, друг не видит игру (или наоборот) и возникают проблемы с соединением? Самое время открыть порты в брандмауэре, но перед этим следует понимать как «это» работает. Дело в том, что программы и компьютерные игры, использующие интернет, для работы требуют не только беспроблемный доступ к сети, но и вдобавок открытые порты. Это особенно важно, если вы хотите поиграть в какую-нибудь сетевую игру.
Часто порты на компьютере закрыты, поэтому их следует открыть. Кроме того, перед настройкой нужно узнать номера портов, а для этого для начала потребуется узнать IP-адрес роутера.
Закрытые порты, или что делать, если игр не видно/не подключается?
Если вы заметили, что в Tunngle/Hamachi никого нет, да и в игре тоже различные косяки с соединением, то есть большая вероятность что у вас просто.
- Открываете окошко с командной строкой (открывается командой «cmd» в Пуске).
- Прописываете команду «ipconfig» (без кавычек).
- IP-адрес отобразится в строчке «Основной шлюз» .
- Открываете командную строку с помощью команды «cmd» в Пуске.
- Вновь прописываете команду «ipconfig » без кавычек.
- Запускаете команду «netstat -а» , после чего отобразится полный список с номерами портов.
- Обязательно следует убедиться в том, что вы обладаете правами администратора Windows.
Включить режим производительности Nvidia
После установки драйвера для видеокарты от компании Nvidia можно ускорить работу Totally Accurate Battle Simulator с помощью режима производительности. Это немного упростит графику в игре, но повысит FPS. Обратите внимание, что этот метод доступен только в случае, если у вас видеокарта с чипом от Nvidia. Вот как это сделать:
- В нижнем правом углу экрана, в трее, нажать правой кнопкой мыши на иконку «Настройки NVIDIA»;
- В открывшемся окне справа выбрать вкладку «Параметры 3D»;
- Нажать на опцию «Регулировка настроек изображения с просмотром»;

Второе, что стоит сделать при возникновении каких-либо проблем с Total Tank Simulator, это свериться с системными требованиями. По-хорошему делать это нужно еще до покупки, чтобы не пожалеть о потраченных деньгах.
