so hello folks..

my game crashes constantly to desktop with a UNITY Error (screenshot attached)    ( the game has been terminated, user action is requiered)  .  i never encounter that problem before,  here are my system, and what i already tried.

Windows 10 64Bit

CPU:  i9 9700k @5ghz

GPU:  RTX 2080 TI

Mainboard  : ASUS Prime Z390-A

RAM:  16gb DDR 4 3200mhz

1TB:  M.2 SSD

Power supply:  be quiet straight power 11 750w

WHAT i TRIED to Fix it:

Reinstall the game.

reinstall graphics driver via  DDU.

Updated BIOS to newest version.

Load Optimized Defaults in BIOS.

tried my Normal overclocking settings wich every other game runs fine.

tried  XMP in bios  1 and 2. and Auto.

Cleared Cache in tarkov.  

Integrity check in tarkov.  ( i reinstalled anyways)

installed  Visual C++ Redistributable newest version

run the game as administrator.

deaktivated anti virus.

windows paging file (virtual memory) increased to even 24gb.

did    CMD  sfc /scannow

did  CMD  chkdsk    no errors

im sure i missed something.  but i cant help me anymore. the game was running for years absolute fine. no crashes at all. but suddenly i crash constantly to desktop. sometimes i could play few raids  on streets and so on,  it crashed here and there, but now  i cannot even load into a raid. it crashes even on «matching» 

my computer runs fine.  it just crashed  back to desktop with that error. 

someone know a fix? or had a similar problem?  

any help would be appreciated.

How I fixed the Unity crashing bug [Nvidia]

So I’ve been battling the Unity crashing bug since the 12.10 update was released. Some of the fixes I tried but to no avail:

  • Rollback Windows updates

  • Rollback Nvidia driver updates

  • Update BIOS

  • Reinstall Tarkov

  • Increase Windows pagefile size (30GB+)

I began scrolling through Unity forum posts about the bug to better understand the patterns of the issue. It seems the issues can occur on any brand of GPU, processor and Windows combination, making me presume its a software-based issue with Tarkov’s implementation of Unity.

Last week I read a Unity thread about the inefficient use of RAM and GPU in Tarkov. In the thread some users reported instances where underclocking their CPU or Radeon GPU helped prevent the crashing issue. This leads me to believe its some type of over-utilisation or performance management issue.

Finally I seem to have fixed it after testing the following combination of steps.

Here’s my EFT Unity crashing fix for Nvidia GPUs

  1. Open the BSG Launcher, click on user settings (top right) and Clear Cache.

  2. Again in the BSG Launcher, click on user settings (top right) and run the Integrity Check.

  3. Open Windows Start menu, type in «Nvidia control panel» and open the application.

    1. Under 3D Settings, click on Manage 3D Settings.

    2. In the Global Settings panel, scroll to Power Management Mode and change the setting to Prefer Maximum Performance.

    3. Save settings.

  4. Run Tarkov

Escape from Tarkov Unity Error Fix

Escape from Tarkov is randomly crashing to desktop with an Unity error code. Players encounter this error code while launching the EFT or in the middle of the game. If you are struggling with this issue, you can find possible solutions for this problem below.

Method #1

There may be a problem with the computer’s drivers. You should update your Bios driver, other drivers and your OS. You can find the drivers on the official website of your motherboard.

Method #2

You can repair the game files. It might work.

  • Launch BSG Launcher.
  • At the top right, click on your ID.
  • Hit the «Integrity check«

Install or repair the .Net Frameworks.

  • Download the “All in One Runtimes Download” tool.

If you are using an antivirus software, disabling it may work. I suggest you try that.

  1. How to fix Tarkov not working?

    Select fullscreen screen mode, re-do the Disable Windows Fullscreen Optimizations on the Tarkov exe. Delete the game cache (with the launcher), the DirectX shader cache (with Disk Clean-up tool) and the Nvidia DXCache (Manually or by updating your Nvidia driver)

  2. Is unity/Tarkov unstable?

    Unity/Tarkov is extremely fragile when it comes to system instability, even when benchmarks, stresstests and other games don’t show issues. I did check Cpu/Gpu (even switched out my Amd one for a Nvidia one just to be extra extra sure it isnt an amd problem) and ram and also wrote that in the post.

  3. Why is Tarkov stuck on loading profile data?

    If you have tried all the above-mentioned fixes and it still says Tarkov stuck on loading profile data, check if the game’s servers are running without a hitch. You can go to DownDetector to check for the status. You can also try to disable firewalls and run a compatibility troubleshooter to fix the issue.

  4. Is Tarkov a hardware related game?

    It is in no way hardware related from what I’ve seen (people have VERY different rigs on the posts I’ve seen, both nvidia & Amd GPUs, Intel and Amd cpus) and tarkov is the one and only game where I face crashes. If its not bad enough that they are using the unity engine, they barely know how to code it.
