Osticket ошибка 500

Hi everyone,

I currently have an issue with the latest version v.1.17.1
When a user is member of an ‘organization’ and tries to submit a new ticket the web server throws an Error 500.
If you remove the user from the organization the error is gone.
I also tried creating a new organization, removed the user from the old one and added it to the newly created organization and still received the same error.

We receive the same error when an agent tries to open a ticket for these specific users. The agent also receives an error 500 on submit.
I don’t see any errors in IIS, PHP or SQL. In the browser debugging I can see the request send and and the Status ‘500’ for the page: https:///tickets.php?a=open

Server: Windows 2019
PHP: tried with PHP ‘8.0.25’ and PHP ‘8.1’
OsTicket version: v1.17.1
MariaDB: 10.4.24

Does anyone else experience the same issue with organizations?

1. Периодически, обычно при первом заходе на сайт, не прогружаются изображения на сайте. Если обновить страницу, то все изображения прогружаются корректно.
2. Периодически, при выполнении каких-либо операций на сайте, возникает Ошибка «HTTP 500 — Внутренняя ошибка сервера». Причем на старых ПК с низкой производительностью эта ошибка возникает намного чаще.
Ошибка так же может возникнуть, если изображения не прогрузились и несколько раз быстро нажали кнопку обновить.

Подскажите пожалуйста, с чем связано такое поведение веб-сервера и каким образом можно решить данные проблемы?

If after you get to Congratulations page you get a generic http 500 error, and you look at your logs and see

Then osTicket had an issue connecting to the database.

I can ran
mysql -u -p and connect to the db server.
use ost_ticket_test;
show tables;
select * from ost_ticket;
successfully.

If you edit the bootstrap.php:203
and add this bnefore the self::croak
var_dump($ferror);die;

It will display the error that you are getting.
In my case it told me that it could not connect to the databasename, because I spelled it wrong. After correcting this in /include/ost-config everything appears to be working correctly.

So I decided to play around the web/server based application «OSticketing» . It is for creating a ticketing system for easier troubleshooting and tech support,or whatever.
 This blog will chronicle my experience with it.

Okay so the setup is fairly easy, you create a database (I used xampp-MYSQL)  and then give the parameters to the setup process to populate with data. I am sure you’ll find tutorials online.

I bumped into a tiny error which was making my installation hang and popping up some «Error 500 message».

I went through the php_error logs and found that it had something to do with the Maximum execution time being exceeded.

So I navigated to the php.ini file . You can access it from your Xampp screen like this.(See below)

Changed the maximum execution time from 30 (seconds) to 300 (5 minutes). Started the installation again and it worked this time.

      Hello ,

      i have the following problem, the ticket system has been freshly installed everything works, only if i click on “theme” i get the error.

      “500 – Internal server error.
      There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed”.

      Hmmm I don’t know what could cause this.

      Did you get this sorted yet?

      Error 500 is very generic and tells us almost nothing. Pro tip: check your PHP, Apache and MySQL error logs for the real error message!
