I am getting the following error when trying to activate the prorender add-on within my installation of Blender 2.81a:

It will not activate, what gives?
Thanks,

Issue
Just downloaded ProRender Version 3.4 addon and tried to test it out, but it won’t work.
System Setup (Environment)
Ubuntu studio
GPU AMD RX580 & CPU Ryzen 9 3900x
Blender 3.2
using GPU to render
Detailed Description
I upload a screenshot of the scene and it was the most basic start-up file setting. On the left-upper corner shows the details of the error.
I don’t understand what it means, so if someone can help me to understand the message and show me how to fix it would be great.
Much appreciated.
Hi thanks, for the report.
Could you please make a few tests?
- check whether or not the final render works.
- go to Render -> Sampling -> Viewport & Preview Sampling and turn off Viewport Denoising and Viewport Upscaling. Than try Viewport render again.
test 1, the render works
test 2, I followed your instruction here and the viewport render works now.
thank you for your help.
BTW, is there any documentation that I can read through so that I could have a general understand of this issue.

[Edit: It is suspected that the failure is caused by the fact that the .run file is built for ubuntu 16 but the actual os is ubuntu 18. However the version built for ubuntu 18.04 cannot be found anywhere. So if you can post the link towards the version for ubuntu 18.04 it will be considered great help.]
Downloaded Radeon ProRender for Linux (labeled v2.0 for Blender 2.8) from radeon official website.
Though AMD claims Ubuntu 18.04 is supported, the installation file still warns that it «is built for Ubuntu 16.04 and continuing installation may encounter problems».
The installation was carried out despite the warning and the installation procedure was problem-free. However when Blender was launched afterwards, EEVEE and Cycles are still the only two renderers to be found.
By looking into the Plugin settings in Preferences menu, the Radeon ProRender can be found unchecked. The attempt to check it failed, with the following information:
NameError: name 'rpsdk_bin_path' is not defined
Please see the attached picture for more information.
How to solve this problem? Please help.

I just installed AMD’s ProRender and I’m trying to experiment with it and see if I like it. Using Blender 2.8 on Windows 10.
Here’s a scene I made, previewed in Cycles:
Here’s the drop down for the Render engines, seems like ProRender is there. And I didn’t have any errors or warnings while installing it or the materials library.
But when I select the ProRender and either hit «render image» or just chance the viewport mode to rendered…. nothing happens. Like so:
In fact, the objects kinda disappeared. When I hit «render image» the picture never shows up at all. I never touched any of the default ProRender settings on the right there.
Any ideas?
