Hi.
Environment Specifications:
PPSSPP version: 1.4.2.0 ( this )
S.O: Windows 10 x64
Affected game:
Title: Gunhound EX
Disc ID: NPJH-50723
ISO Download -cut-
(THE DOWNLOAD IS JUST FOR EDUCATIVE PURPOSES IF NEEDED BY THE DEVELOPERS OR HELPER USERS TO TEST OUT THE PROBLEM, if this violates the rules I’m sorry and then please delete the url)
Affected savegame:
Savegame download: here
Savegame folder name: NPJH5072300GHSAVE00
Problem Description:
The emulator displays this message when initializing the game due it can’t load the savegame for some reason:
After that, the game works as normally… but it can’t load savegames.
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- Download the specified savegame linked above.
- Run your copy of Gunhound EX in PPSSPP.
- Wait for the errorcode to appear.
Research:
I’m 100% sure this is not a problem of user rights neither a corrupted save data, it is an issue with the emulation. Also be aware that I have a private collection of many, many many games that runs perfectly in PPSSPP and the savegames too. Please avoid typical things like «you have admin privileges?» and that..
I had another similar problem with another japanese game ( Strike Witches — Hakugin no Tsubasa ) which It was unable to load a savegame and it gaves me an error code 80110306 or maybe 80110307, I’m not totally sure, but the thing is that I solved it by following this strange guide:
Source: http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/help-saved-game-give-error-code-80110306-and-also-80110307.580858/
Yes, I don’t know how and why, but doing those weird things (which are not much good explained at all) I solved the errorcode in that other game and my savegame start loading correctly. Unfortunately that thing didn’t worked for Gunhound EX.
Also I noticed that the Gunhound EX is not listed in the official PPSSPP compatibility list:
http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=1473
( However Strike Witches — Hakugin no Tsubasa is not listed there too, but it is perfectly playable game. )
It was unable for me to find any info about this strange error. I read that maybe it could be due to some games requires a higher firmware and then… it breaks when trying to load a savegame or something like that?. Or maybe just what happens is the game is not compatible with PPSSPP? maybe it never get tested by the developers…due it does not appear in the compatibility list?.
Other:
I’m glad to contribute to PPSSPP’s project being my issue the magic number #10000. Is there any reward for this, like… you know, a month of free Domino’s Pizza or some coupon to buy a PS4?.
Thanks for read!
You should upgrade or use an alternative browser.

It was another one, not the one I was asking about in a different topic.
The problem is I have made some good progress in a few games on 6.20 TN, specifically GoW Ghost of Sparta, Split Second and others. BUT OH, HORROR!!!
The PSP now (on 5.03 GNE-C) does not recognize my saves and says they are corrupted.
Am I totally screwed i.e. do I have to start the games over?
I’ve read some info about re-encrypting those saves but that seems rather high-level for my simple user’s mind. Would appreciate if anyone could help, or shed some more light on this.

MagicSave, which as you mentioned, requires a few steps. Or restart your games.
Edit: There’s a third option; Go back to 6.20 TN

Found a fantastic guide, I’m copy&pasting it for other people in case they struggle like I did:
FreeCheat plugin
SaveDataFix
Extract FreeCheat to the root of your memory card
2. Extract SED to /PSP/GAME/
3. Follow instructions on readme to install freecheat.
4. Back up your corrupted save game to computer.
5. Start the game and start to create a new saved game. Before you actually save the new game to the memory stick you should press the note key which will bring up the freecheat console. We need to tell freecheat to go into dump memory mode so when you save the new game it creates the files we need. On the freecheat console go to Mem Manager -> SAVEDATE Manager -> Operate Mode -> Dump. Now hit X to back out to where you can confirm to save the game. Save the game to the memory card.
6. Now exit the game and enable USB to browse your memory stick and go to /FreeCheat/SAVEDATA/ and you will see 2 files. I have:
ULJM-05500.key and ULJM-05500_0.sav
You only need to rename the ULJM-05500.key file to ULJM05500.bin removing the «-» and renaming extention to .bin. Copy this file into /PSP/GAME/SED/gamekey directory on the memory stick.
7. Backup the new save game that you created from /PSP/SAVEDATA/ to your computer for later.
8. Copy your corrupted save game from computer back to /PSP/SAVEDATA/
9. Run SED and it will load a list of save games you have. Press / (Triangle) on your corrupted save game and press O on the top option. Then select «Yes» and hit O again to decrypt your corrupted save game to a .bin file on the root of the card. Mine is called: ULJM005500.bin
10. Now copy your new saved game you backed up on the computer back to the /PSP/SAVEDATA/ directory. The directory of the saved game should match the name of the .bin file you just created. If it doesnt rename the .bin file to match it.
11. Load up SED again and find the new saved game and Press / (Triangle) to bring up the options and select the 2nd one down from the top and press O and select «Yes» and press O again. This will encrypt the .bin file you just created into the new saved game which is the old corrupted saved game info!
12. Now just start up the game and load your old save game that use to be corrupted!

shot in the dark but do you think there is a chance that the files are encoded to run with a certian version of the game, hench that u can not import a saved game from a jap game to a us game….for the error codes u gave i had the second one just a few mins ago and that was because i needed to clear up more room on my mem stick, why not try to see if u can put the usa save game in to the folder for the jap game and see if u can run it… there is always that chance it would work cause they make the game and it came from japan but not vs vers… sorry dont have anything helpful

Tried that and same thing, the two games must be encoded differently or some thing think will just have to start over pitty to have 150+ hours done on the game «S***» ah well lol.

I am wondering if anyone knows if you can open up an iso and switch the language files from a jap game to eng game?

I figured out how to fix the error 80110307. this is for the emulator not the actual psp.
Step 1: Open the folder where you keep your psp emulator and find the «memstick» folder. When you do, open «PSP then ‘SAVEDATA» and you should have at least one folder here. This is where your saved games are. Minimize this for now but do not close it.
Step 2: Open your actual psp emulator not the folder
Step 3: In your emulator select file then load. At this point you need to find the «memstick» folder again. Refer to step one if necessary.
Step 4: In the memstick folder open «PSP» open «SAVEDATA» then copy and paste all of it to the folder i had you minimize from step one. If you have multiple game saves it will ask you to overwrite so say yes.
Step 5: Load up your game. This works for Monster Hunter Freedom 2

Ok, so my brother just got a PSP-2000. We installed CFW 5.50 GEN-D3. Anyways, not going to go into detail about that… My brother wants to use a complete gamesave for the game Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force 1, however, every time he sticks the gamesave in the PSP (x:/PSP/GAMESAVE), he tries to load it up on the PSP, and it says that the gamesave is corrupt.
Anyways, he is really pissed, and I don’t want him breaking something, so hopefully someone can help quick?
EDIT: When we check the game save in the game save utility of the PSP, it appears to be fine, and uncorrupt. However, once the game is loaded, it comes with an error message saying that the file is corrupt… Error code is 80110306… I looked online, but cannot find any information about it….
Seriously, please HELP!
Try formatting the whole card. I had the same problem, worked after format.

We tried that about 50 thousand times…
I was reading that Sony changed the way that the gamesaves are done in one of their firmware updates. Apparently there are apps to convert the gamesaves, but I am having trouble finding it.

Swapping save games have always been tricky. I’m guessing your psp is hacked as well?

Silly. Should’ve read that. Well to further re-iterate, savegames from different custom firmwares, tend to be corrupt on different consoles. Savegames that worked on my old 3.30 didn’t work on my 5.00. You might have to search online for different save games.
Try www.pspiso.com
Been using pspiso.com since they were created -.- um… Is there no way to somehow convert it to work with a later cfw?

I saw that, but I was wondering if there was some way to convert it since it is quite old. I am trying to just use a savedata off Gamefaqs which basically are pretty old saves… Need it to work on 5.50 GEN-D3 though.
