Zomboid Error Mod Finder:
Project Zomboid has many mods for players to choose from, which greatly improves the gameplay. However, the different compatibility of different mods may be causing errors that may eventually corrupt your save. The purpose of this article is to help you identify which mods are causing errors, and how you can disable them.
How to Fix Project Zomboid Errors, Crashes, Issues, Lag
Step:
Make a backup:
If you already have a backup, then you can use that. If not, then you need to make a backup of the Zomboid save folder. To do this, you need to go to your C drive, open up the Users folder, open your username folder (Or Copy ” %UserProfile%” into the address bar of any folder, and press enter. It should take you there.)and then copy the Zomboid folder. You can paste it anywhere you like.
Once the folder is copied, delete the original.
Get a clean console.txt file :
Once you’ve created a backup folder, launch the game in order to create a new zomboid folder containing a clean console.txt file.
Copy the mods folder from the backup folder that you just made and paste it into the new zomboid folder.
Relaunch the game. The mods should be registered in the game at this point.
If your error only occurs when you are playing, then you should do the same action as it previously occurred until the error occurs again!
Quite the game.
How to find out which mods are causing the errors in your saves:
To do this, go to your new zomboid folder, open up console.txt and scroll down. You need to look for error messages, If you see the names of the mods causing errors, then you can just disable them from the mods menu.
Or you can copy and paste the whole content of the console.text file, paste to the Zomboid Mod Error Finder(at the top of this web page), then click Search, it will show some useful info about which mod may causing the error.
Some mods will be showing the name clearly but others are a little tricky and will be showing only the first two or three alphabets of the name.
If you can’t figure out which mod is causing the error from the error log, you can try searching for the error file name in the Steam workshop folder.
For project zomboid, this folder is usually X:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappsworkshopcontent108600, where X is the location of the Steam installation folder, usually C drive.
Then search for the error file name here. Once you find the error file, right-click on the file and select Open File Location. This will take you to the specific mod folder, and from the address bar, you can get the mod name.
If you can’t find this error file, it may be because the game itself has an error. Some mods can affect the game’s code, and in this case, you will need to disable a few mods, relaunch the game, check if the error has gone away, and repeat this process until you find the right mod that is causing the error.
How to disable mods that are causing errors:
When you go to load Menu, you first need to hit “more” on your save. From there, choose mods, and ensure that they’re all disabled there as well as in the main menu.

Игра не запускается
Игра вылетает на рабочий стол без ошибок.
О: Скорее всего проблема в поврежденных файлах игры. В подобном случае рекомендуется переустановить игру, предварительно скопировав все сохранения. В случае если игра загружалась из официального магазина за сохранность прогресса можно не переживать.
Project Zomboid не работает на консоли.
О: Обновите ПО до актуальной версии, а так же проверьте стабильность подключения к интернету. Если полное обновление прошивки консоли и самой игры не решило проблему, то стоит заново загрузить игру, предварительно удалив с диска.
Ошибка 0xc000007b.
О: Есть два пути решения.
Первый — полная переустановка игры. В ряде случаев это устраняет проблему.
Второй состоит из двух этапов:
Ошибка 0xc0000142.
О: Чаще всего данная ошибка возникает из-за наличия кириллицы (русских букв) в одном из путей, по которым игра хранит свои файлы. Это может быть имя пользователя или сама папка в которой находится игра. Решением будет установка игры в другую папку, название которой написано английскими буквами или смена имени пользователя.
Ошибка 0xc0000906.
О: Данная ошибка связана с блокировкой одного или нескольких файлов игры антивирусом или “Защитником Windows”. Для её устранения необходимо добавить всю папку игры в исключени. Для каждого антивируса эта процедура индивидуально и следует обратиться к его справочной системе. Стоит отметить, что вы делаете это на свой страх и риск. Все мы любим репаки, но если вас часто мучает данная ошибка — стоит задуматься о покупке игр. Пусть даже и по скидкам, о которых можно узнать из новостей на нашем сайте.
Отсутствует msvcp 140.dll/msvcp 120.dll/msvcp 110.dll/msvcp 100.dll
О: Ошибка возникает в случае отсутствия на компьютере корректной версии пакета Microsoft Visual C++, в который и входит msvcp 140.dll (и подобные ему). Решением будет установка нужной версии пакета.
После загрузки и установки нового пакета ошибка должна пропасть. Если сообщение об отсутствии msvcp 140.dll (120, 110, 100) сохраняется необходимо сделать следующее:

О: Все ошибки начинающиеся с индекса 0xc0000009 (например 0xc0000009a, где на месте “а” может находиться любая буква или цифра) можно отнести к одному семейству. Подобные ошибки являются следствием проблем с оперативной памятью или файлом подкачки.
Размер файла подкачки должен быть кратен 1024. Объём зависит от свободного места на выбранном локальном диске. Рекомендуем установить его равным объему ОЗУ.
Если ошибка 0xc0000009а сохранилась, необходимо проверить вашу оперативную память. Для этого нужно воспользоваться функциями таких программ как MemTest86, Acronis, Everest.
Игра тормозит и лагает
Скорее всего данная проблема носит аппаратный характер. Проверьте системные требования игры и установите корректные настройки качества графики. Подробнее об оптимизации игры можно почитать на форуме. Также загляните в раздел файлов, где найдутся программы для оптимизации Project Zomboid для работы на слабых ПК. Ниже рассмотрены исключительные случаи.
Появились тормоза в игре.
О: Проверьте компьютер на вирусы, отключите лишние фоновые процессы и неиспользуемые программы в диспетчере задач. Также стоит проверить состояние жесткого диска с помощью специализированных программ по типу Hard Drive Inspector. Проверьте температуру процессора и видеокарты —возможно пришла пора обслужить ваш компьютер.
Долгие загрузки в игре.
О: Проверьте состояние своего жесткого диска. Рекомендуется удалить лишние моды — они могут сильно влиять на продолжительность загрузок. Проверьте настройки антивируса и обязательно установите в нём “игровой режим” или его аналог.
Project Zomboid лагает.
О: Причинами периодических тормозов (фризов или лагов) в Project Zomboid могут быть запущенные в фоновом режиме приложения. Особое внимание следует уделить программам вроде Discord и Skype. Если лаги есть и в других играх, то рекомендуем проверить состояние жесткого диска — скорее всего пришла пора заменить его.
Проблемы с модами
Ошибки загрузки/обновления
Проверьте стабильность подключения к интернету, а также скорость загрузки. При слишком высоком пинге или низкой пропускной способности обновление может выдавать ошибки.
Если магазин или лончер Project Zomboid не завершает обновления или выдает ошибки, то переустановите саму программу. При этом все скачанные вами игры сохранятся.
Запустите проверку целостности данных игры.
Проверьте наличие свободного места на том диске, на котором установлена игра, а также на диске с операционной системой. И в том и в другом случае должно быть свободно места не меньше, чем занимает игра на текущий момент. В идеале всегда иметь запас около 100Гб.
Проверьте настройки антивируса и “Защитника Windows”, а также разрешения в брандмауэре. Вполне возможно они ограничивают подключение к интернету для ряда приложений. Данную проблему можно решить и полной переустановкой магазина или лончера т.к. большинство из них попросит предоставить доступ к интернету в процессе инсталляции.

RAM 4gb (Avaliable 3.5gb)

It seems like the game is crashing because of out of memory errors, can you try lowering any graphics settings you can and turning off background programs that take memory? Like Google Chrome and similar applications.
I also recommend turning on Texture Compression in the game options.
And you should also make sure to update your graphics card drivers to the latest version if none of the above helps:

Is there anyway to turn off the stupid red error box that pops up?
I’ve seen pasts posts and the only replies are snarky responses from devs saying that the player should just remove the mod. That’s not a solution.
I know the box means there is an error with my game, but I honestly don’t give a single fuck because it’s not effecting my gameplay. So how do I turn off this box popup? Can I like go into the files and delete the texture or something?
The devs should really take some inspiration from Rimworld in regards to the error log.
You can view it ingame at any moment and its detailed not just «Error, #» aka something that doesn’t help you troubleshoot what is causing the problem in the slightest.
And in Rimworld you can turn off if it pops up or not, that way if there’s some meaningless errors you can just ignore them with no issues.
Some would say «report the bugs to the mod makers» But like, I don’t wanna dig into the files, send them an error log, that may or may not even be helpful, then wait and just hope they update it. Just for an error that isn’t even gamebreaking in the first place. Infact I wouldn’t even know there were any issues if it wasn’t constantly popping up in the corner.

I had just installed a discrete streaming microphone (edit: on my pc, which is running) an existing PZ installation from Steam, and got this error today.
The game was previously working fine before this change, so I can say with fair certainty that installing a microphone (in my case the Sudotack ST-900) can reproduce the issue. Another post I found had to do with an Elgato capture device, and another with a Blue Yeti microphone.
I’ve searched for previous posts in and out of the forums, so based on that I tried to change the sampling rate of my recording/input device — but still get the error. Understandably, no audio plays from the game due to the error with the recording device.
Attached logs file for review. Please let me know if you need other info/data.

Доброго времени суток.
У меня проблема с запуском PZ. Суть проблемы состоит в том что, когда я запускаю игру, через exe или через bat без разницы, у меня открывается консоль, мигает окно игры и закрывается все. Пробовал и 64 бита и 32. У меня 64 бит Win7. пробовал уже запускать с -savemode в ярлык, и менял кол-во пямяти в батниках, ничего не помогло. Если кто знает что делать отзовитесь!
