Hey rob I’m having trouble trying to load the mod api but it gives me an error saying that it happened when I either downloaded a mod or opened the api . Is there a fix to this if so please help

Hey, this seems awesome. Unfortunately, when I try to use multiple mods together, I got these three windows when I try to launch it. I play with Steam’s Spore, maybe the issue is here…

Hi! I don’t know if this question’s already been asked, but I installed the modAPI and it doesn’t seem to recognize mods.

I have several Spore mods downloaded, but the API says I have none. Is this a common issue? How can I fix it?

I installed a dark injection I run through the launcher and an error appears in the menu from the api the launcher is not detected please help the version of the game gog

Hm… I’m not sure. This supposed to work on legally purchased version of the game only (GOG/Origin), but it also works on pirated version for me (RePack by SxSxL, earlier). Delete the game (don’t forget to save your creations) and try to purchase Spore from GoG/Origin or download RePack by SxSxL.

Previous problem solved, but now I have a new one, It tells me to update to version 3.1.0.22, even though I am on the most recent version, I am using the steam version, I would move over to origin, but I am unable to currently.

I would like to actually get a response unlike pretty much everyone else who mentioned this problem

Установка (внимание, нудно и сделано для незнающих английский язык): следовать инструкции инсталлятора. Если вы устанавливаете Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit, то выберете «I am installing the Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit for the first time», далее указываете куда хотите установить программу.
После этого на рабочем столе должны появиться 3 bat файла, Spore ModAPI Launcher, Spore ModAPI Easy Installer, и Spore ModAPI Easy Uninstaller. Первым файлом запускать игру, в противном случае вы не сможете играть в spore с установленным(и) модом(ами). Второй файл нужен для того чтобы устанавливать моды. (на примере Dark injection) Забиваем путь к файлу, открываем файл, ждём, иногда ждать нужно долго, вылезает окно, выбираем нужные компоненты (на примере DI — фон и интерфейс), нажимаем «Install» — мод установлен. 3 файл — удаление модов. Тут всё просто — запускаете, два раза кликаете по моду, вылазит окошко в котором можно настроить и удалить мод. Чтобы удалить, кликните «Uninstall», PROFIT.

Problem with the Spore ModAPI Launcher

Hey everyone! First time posting on this subreddit, so apologies if I sound awkward at all/do anything wrong. I’m having a problem with the Spore ModAPI Launcher and I’d really appreciate it if y’all would help me with this! When I launch Spore Galactic Adventures through the ModAPI Launcher, it says that I need to close out Spore and open Spore back up with the ModAPI Launcher. Every time I try to open Spore with the Spore ModAPI Launcher it keeps telling me that, even though I did what it asked me. What do I do? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit

The Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit is a toolkit which allows mods to influence Spore’s code, granting mod developers greater control over Spore and its behaviour.

It requires legally-purchased versions of both Spore and Spore Galactic Adventures and atleast Patch 1.5.1 to be installed.

NEVER explicitly run any of the Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit’s programs as Administrator under ANY circumstances. They will request these privileges automatically as needed. After installing the Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit, it is imperative that you run the Spore ModAPI Launcher whenever you want to play Spore. Do not open the game any other way.

For your own safety

As with any software, you should only download mods from trustworthy sources. If unsure, ask around.

Notice to Steam Spore users

The Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit has, on numerous occasions, proven extremely unreliable with the Steam version of Spore. As such, if you’re thinking of buying Spore, it is strongly recommended to buy it either from Origin or GOG instead of Steam. Even the retail version is preferable if you don’t mind being locked out of online features.

Previously, we recommended transferring your Steam Spore keys to Origin. Unfortunately, this has become impossible due to factors beyond our control, and we are unsure if this will ever change.

As with everything Spore-related, personal experience alone proves nothing. that is, a sample size of one is never sufficient.

The Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit has never worked under WINE thus far, unfortunately. Hopefully that will change in the future.

As for the problem at hand. what exact path did you install Spore, Spore Galactic Adventures, and the Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit to?

I’ve done the tutorial step by step and i did not work.
It gave me this error. It is (Gog). I tried to update it with the tutorial but is says that i need to have the spore installed to update it which i have.

I did downloaded it now. But now.. its says this. And I have opened it from

You purchased Spore from GOG, correct? You need a legal version of Spore and Galactic Adventures to use the Spore ModAPI Launcher Kit. (In fact, you need a legal version of Spore and Galactic Adventures in order to play Spore: Galactic Adventures.)
