Как фиксить? Пробовал запускать просто тексмод, от админа, отрубать антивирус, добавлять в исключения, ничего не помогает, либо просто d`oh, либо игра запустится с черным экраном и крашнется

I’ve never used TexMod. I won’t begin to say I’m familiar with it, but I’m pretty familiar with the modding scene in general. For some reason, TexMod gives a «D’OH» error message every time I load a .TPF file. I downloaded one for military camouflage armor as well as weapons updates, which didn’t work. I also made a pack myself and couldn’t get it to work either. I’d supply a log file or something along those lines (as is normally procedure) but it doesn’t seem to have one and I certainly don’t know what is going on. A walkthrough or similar guide would be appreciated, but I’ve already tried the video on here and I didn’t forget the .log file, so I’ve no clue what’s up.
Thanks for your time and (hopefully) effort,
Red

Same error here. I followed the instructions with the Military Retexture Mod but get the error every time. If I don’t load the texture packs TexMod will run XCOM just fine. If I try to load any package it gives the error.

Out of curiosity, do we have any of these in common? Here’s a list of possible offenders. If anyone knows if anything could cause an issue, let me know.
-Windows 7 Ultimate
-AMD GPU with NO graphics CARD
-Ran as administrator; any legacy/compatibility options I need?
-No CD drive
-Steam enabled CD version
And is there a debugging mode or any error log or anything for this? Maybe an alternate program even?

TexMod «S**t happened, d’oh»
So I want to get back to my historical franchise, after using the FF/FI mod for a long time for modern rosters. So I went back and tried to go back into the Greatest Historical Teams 1.5 mod created by guamyankee, which I have used successfully in the past. However, unfortunately as I try to load tpf files with TexMod, when I hit «run» I’m getting the error message expressed in the post title. I am relatively sure I’ve purged my game of all of the FF/FI mod, down to the STADIUMS.dat and launch.dat in the Program Files section. So I’m not sure what I’m missing or what else needs to be changed so that TexMod can begin working again. Thanks in advance!

I know that I have had to use TexMod in compatibility mode for winxp(SP3) and choose to always run as administer or I get that message if I don’t. If you right click on your TexMod.exe file, where ever you have it saved, and choose properties you can then choose those options in the properties box under Compatibility.
I haven’t had to change anything in my anti-virus program, but that is a possibility. You may have to disable it to play the game, but I would try the compatibility thing first.

Just turn it off when you’re use it…

Or create an exception for the directory containing the Texmod application files.

Yeah that seems to have done the trick, running as administrator. Another unrelated issue has come up, but at least that works. Thanks.

I’m trying to run a mod which adds an Alliance logo to the linen on Shepard’s bed but I’m running into a problem
I’m following these instructions:
1. Copy your Texmod.exe into the folder where your MassEffect3.exe is located (Program Files/OriginGames/MassEffect3/Binaries/Win32)
2. Rename your Texmod.exe into MassEffect3.exe and the MassEffect3.exe into MassEffect3bak.exe
3. Through Origin, click the game icon to launch
4. Instead of Mass Effect 3, the Texmod program should load
5. Go back into your game folder and change the exe files back to their original names (Texmod.exe and MassEffect3.exe)
6. Go back to Texmod, load the desired tpf, and browse for ‘target application’ MassEffect3.exe
7. Click ‘Run’ in Texmod to launch the game
——————————-
When I try to browse for ‘target application’ MassEffect3.exe I’m told it’s not available
So I hit ‘run’ in Texmod to see if it’ll run without browsing target application MassEffect3.exe and end up getting a «D’oh!» message

I select tra.exe and it doesn’t work («D’oh»). If I try to run tra.exe on its own outside of steam, it says «can’t find steam». Curious… Does anyone have a workaround for this? I’m not trying to pirate stuff, just modify for personal enjoyment |

Hi and Welcome to TRF ! If you want to use Texmod with Steam, you have to run Texmod with steam… Like it: Copy and paste texmod.exe inside the TRA folder (Program files (x86)steamsteamappscommonTomb Raider Anniversary). Now, go to Steam and play TRA. Texmod will be open and you will be able to use texmod. Just open tra_original.exe (or the other name you choosed) in texmod and have fun to extract textures or play with texture mods |

I can use TexMod with Legend without having to move/rename the .exe and it works fine. always crashes after loading/scrolling through a few textures. I guess I’ll just do Legend modding until I can come up with/find a solution. |
