Vsftpd ошибка 530 login incorrect

I’m trying to get a vsftpd server set up on CentOS 5.3 x64. I’m not able to get any local user login’s to work. Here is my vsftpd.conf:

local_enable=YES
write_enable=YES
pam_service_name=vsftpd
connect_from_port_20=YES
listen=YES
pam_service_name=vsftpd
xferlog_std_format=NO
log_ftp_protocol=YES
chroot_local_user=YES

Here is the output of vsftp.log:

It looks like pam is not authenticating the user. Here is my /etc/pam.d/vsftp file:

I just wanted to share a problem I had with my ftpdaemon with you and which I didn’t find in this forum.

My ftp server always throw an error, trying to log in with new created ftp accounts. I’m not sure since when this error occurred, a user of mine pointed me on that issue. But I would say the Vestacp version is not essential in that case.

My ftp client acted as if I just entered wrong user data.

Befehl:      	USER ******
Antwort:    	331 Please specify the password.
Befehl:      	PASS *******
Antwort:    	530 Login incorrect.

So I checked the vsftp logs in /var/log/vsftpd.log

Sun Mar 25 12:04:01 2018 [pid 2] CONNECT: Client "87.123.193.139"
Sun Mar 25 12:04:04 2018 [pid 1] [*********] FAIL LOGIN: Client "87.123.193.139"

Actually looked like wrong user data. But I entered them correctly.
I checked /etc/passwd and in the meantime I also googled a bit. So I found this article, which described exactly my problem.

New users got a different path to the «nologin» shell than before.
Initially it was /sbin/nologin. New users got the path to /usr/sbin/nologin
That path was not registered in /etc/shells.

Looked like this:

# /etc/shells: valid login shells
/bin/sh
/bin/dash
/bin/bash
/bin/rbash
/sbin/nologin
/usr/bin/rssh
/usr/bin/tmux

and I easily added this line

saved the file and everything worked fine again afterwards.

Нужно было сделать ftp сервер на SLES 10.2 (SuSE).

Поставил ftp сервер vsftpd, идущий в дистрибутиве.

Нашел инструкцию, начал настраивать точно по ней.

Задача, ftp с аутентификацией по имя пользователя,пароль. Каждый польховтаель может работать только в своей папке.

Это мой первый ftp сервер, поэтому предпочитаю действовать по максимально подробной инструкции.

Итак, все по шаг сделал, но не работает. При попытке входа, пишет, что ошибка — 530. Похоже, я ошибся при копировании  файлов и прописывании библиотек. Файрволл пока отключен.

Я делал так.

1. Установил  vsftpd и нашел папку с примерами его конфигурации (EXAMPLE/VIRTUAL_USERS).

2. Вот тут я похоже не так понял.

«копируем необходимые файлы в нужные каталоги

vsftpd.pam /etc/pam.d/ftp»

Я должен создать папку ftp в /etc/pam.d/ и скопировать файл  vsftpd.pam в

нее или должнен создать просто файл  ftp и скопировать в него содержимое  vsftpd.pam ? Я создал папку ftp и копировал файл в нее.

Дальше Скопировал файл logins.txt в папку vsftpd, и скопировал файл  vsftpd.conf в папку vsftpd.

Далее все по инструкции.

Но в файле /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf вместо

             local_root=/data

я написал local_root=/srv/ftp/vsftpb (ественно ее сначла создав)

+ в скрипте для внесения пользователей

я написал  db_load вместо  db42_load (но скрипт работает, файл login.db создается в папке /etc/vsftpd/ ).

Тем не менее, — «530 this ftp server is anonymous only»

Возможно проблема в том, что нужно дописать в дистрибутивах x86_64 в /etc/pam.d/ftp нужны такие вот строки

auth required /lib64/security/pam_userdb.so crypt=none db=/etc/vsftpd/login

account required /lib64/security/pam_userdb.so crypt=none db=/etc/vsftpd/login

Но если ftp это папка, то куда именно это дописывать ?

И откуда взялось

«далее в /etc/pam.d/vsftpd

auth required /lib64/security/pam_userdb.so db=/etc/vsftpd/login

account required /lib64/security/pam_userdb.so db=/etc/vsftpd/login»

 Помогите, плиз. Пардон за такой вопрос, но  я Linux ровно 3 недели изучаю.

What is vsftpd 530 Permission denied error?

If you have a newly installed vsftp server that is not accessible by some users, you have come to the right place. You may also come across the following error:

# service vsftpd status
vsftpd (pid 5806) is running...
# ftp localhost
Connected to localhost.localdomain.
220 (vsFTPd 2.0.5)
530 Please login with USER and PASS.
KERBEROS_V4 rejected as an authentication type
Name (localhost:oracle): user
530 Permission denied.
Login failed.

According to our Support Techs, this error pops up when the parameters userlist_enable and userlist_deny in the /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf is set to YES. Furthermore, the “530 Permission denied” error does not prompt for a password.

If userlist_enable is set to YES, vsftpd will load usernames to the /etc/vsftpd/userlist_file file. In case a user attempts to log in via a name on this file, they are denied access before they are prompted for a password.

Interestingly, this is a good way to prevent cleartext passwords from being transmitted. It also prompts the examination of userlist_deny. In fact, setting this parameter to NO causes users to be able to log in even if they are in the /etc/vsftpd/userlist_file file.

How to allow VSFTP server local user to login

1. First, we have to edit the /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf file and set userlist_enable to YES and userlist_deny to NO with the following commands:

   # vi /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf 
   userlist_enable=YES 
   userlist_deny=NO

2. Next, we will add the username to the /etc/vsftpd/user_list file as seen below:

   # cat /etc/vsftpd/user_list 
   username1

3. Then, we will add all the users who are not allowed to ftp in the /etc/vsftpd/ftpusers file as seen below:

   # cat ftpusers 
   # Users that are not allowed to login via ftp 
   root 
   bin 
   daemon 
   adm 
   lp 
   sync 
   shutdown 
   halt 
   news
   mail 
   uucp 
   games 
   operator 
   

4. After that, we have to restart vsftpd with the following command:

   # service vsftpd restart

5. Now, we will try ftp once more with the user username1:

   $ ftp localhost 
   Connected to localhost.localdomain. 
   220 (vsFTPd 2.0.5) 
   530 Please login with USER and PASS. 
   530 Please login with USER and PASS. 
   KERBEROS_V4 rejected as an authentication type 
   Name (localhost:root): username1
   331 Please specify the password. 
   Password: 
   230 Login successful. 
   Remote system type is UNIX. 
   Using binary mode to transfer files. 
   ftp>

6. If we try via a disallowed user id, for instance, root, we will get the following output:

   # ftp localhost 
   Connected to localhost.localdomain. 
   220 (vsFTPd 2.0.5) 
   530 Please login with USER and PASS. 
   530 Please login with USER and PASS. 
   KERBEROS_V4 rejected as an authentication type 
   Name (localhost:root): root 
   530 Permission denied.
